Porsche gForce iPhone App

Porsche gForce iPhone App

The new iPhone app, gForce, from Porsche and Mobil1 answers a very serious question about your driving: “What type of gravitational force are you pulling?” The free iPhone app is simple: press the start button and immediately begin recording your driving speed, distance, duration and g-force. Hit stop when you’ve completed your drive. The app does an excellent job of graphing out your g-force changes throughout the drive with the ability to share it with others.

Play it safe, though. As they state on the app page; “Porsche cannot be held responsible for any damage inflicted on persons or objects of any amount.” Safety first. (cm)

Wallpaper* iPhone App

Selectism - Wallpaper* iPhone App

In a world that is seeing print media transition into the new world of mobile reader apps, it is heart warming to see at least a handful of publications recognizing that their old ways will not fall well with users of these new devices. My biggest gripe is print publications charging MORE for their mobile apps than the actual print versions. While I could argue why this is their downfall, I’ll keep a smile with the launch of the Wallpaper* FREE iPhone App. Yes, the content is sponsored but you’ll have “best from the world of art, fashion, travel, architecture and technology.”
