We previewed the April77 Autumn/Winter 2009 collection back in Feb. during the tradshow circuit. Today we give you a wider look to the coming fashions in the collection. Mixing traditional Native American patterns with contemporary denim, April77 hits the mark on styled looks for today’s modern man.

Record label/fashion house, April77 previewed looks from their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection last week at (capsule) show. The usual span on denim was present from the French line as well as a “mack” inspired long coat, floral shirts, and this interesting flannel tote bag (above). Yee-haw partners! England and France team up for an American classic. YMC and April77 collaborated on these Cowboy Boots. Under the slogan, “Good Guys Don’t Wear Leather,” the Cowboy Boots are the first of what we expect will be a long line of “creulty-free” pairs of shoes coming from April77’s new line of footwear. April77 releases a new narrow leg slim fit denim made from non-stretched denim. The Cross comes in several washes, and for the the particular of denim heads, the leg opening is 19cm. How about those Dr. Martens that Apollo is rocking? A great look.

Brice Partouche founded APRIL77 as "a tribute to youth movements, counterculture and lifestyle." The APRIL77 brand has garnered a good deal of attention since those days and continues to push mens fashion in a forward lean while reminding the youth of today or the good times past. The APRIL77 fall/winter collection, "We Lived Our Lives in Black" continues this trend. "Influenced by suburbian England, Scotland and even Ireland in the mid 1980s – early 1990s, the soundtrack to this collection is Shoegaze, Britpop, Dreampop made by autistic teenagers, working class youth torn by religious and political conflicts…"

April77 is making a change… a change on the leather patch that is stitched into their denim. As a way of marking the "new" of it all with the new leather-free leather, their Design Team previews the look patch with some humorous banter on the matter.

"The New Church" is the title of April77’s Spring and Summer 2008 collection. Very solid looks from this French label which launched in 2002 by Bric Partouche. Cealry inspired by the mod and new/no-wave looks of England and beyond, April77’s Spring/Summer looks are proper.
