The new Armani Hotel in Milan was opened for business yesterday with an Armani-proper gala to celebrate the event. The joint venture between Giorgio Armani and Dubai’s Emaar Properties is their second property in the Italian city, located in Milan’s couture district. 95 guestrooms and suites are available inside the new structure which mixes architecture of new and old.  Those heading to Pitti Uomo this coming January may well consider staying at the new Armani Hotel.

CNBC’s Jim Cramer made mention recently that the economies in the BRIC nations of Brasil, Russia, India, and China, was on a down turn. "Crumbling" being the other term being toss around. I do not think anyone mentioned this to a core of companies that are opening doors and magazines in the country of India, which has seen some crazy GDP growth in the last two decades. Luxury goods and fashion may be finally catching on and gaining steam Earlier this month, GQ India was launched in the country and today, DNR is reporting that both Armani and Diesel are planning outposts with Armani heading to the Emporio Mall of New Dehli. D&G is also reportedly opening doors in the same mall.

Giorgio Armani plans to design some beachfront villas in Egypt, according to WWD. The residences being built in partnertship with Emaar Properties PJSC SpA "will be located in Marassi, Emaar’s flagship resort development in Egypt on the Sidi Abdel Rahman Bay facing the Mediterranean Sea. Marassi, two hours from Cairo…Armani said he ‘integrated several elements that capture the serenity and calm of beachfront living.’ The designer said he was ‘keen to present residents with personalized living spaces…’"
