uniforms for the dedicated shirt Uniforms For The Dedicated Stridsbåt 90 Shirt

Check shirts have blown up over the last few years and it doesn’t look like a trend that’s going to die anytime soon. This Uniforms for the dedicated shirt would be just another check shirt if not for the unique detailing across the center. We could do without the styling in the picture though, as the shirt is best worn with the sleeves up and the collar open. Get it from Plus 46.

Given the amount of love Ato’s footwear receive, it’s easy to forget that they make clothes as well. Given the amount of colour in their footwear, their main line is actually quite subdued, focusing more on shapes and patterns rather than colours. Other focuses in the collection are checks, large fur collars and, bizarrely, ponchos. Take a look at the rest of the collection after the jump. [via skeleton legs]

Chris & Tibor are an East London based duo who specialize in men’s bags. Launched in 2005, the label came about because of Chris Liu’s inability to find the perfect gym bag. After making a prototype for himself, Tibor Matyas saw the opportunity to make a bag collection, hence the label name. Social Suicide are a relatively new brand, having been launched in 2004. The clothing focuses on the details and the inspiration is drawn from Britain’s many subcultures. Their AW08 collection sees them draw inspiration from Mods, Rockers, Teddy Boys and Peanuts (early skinheads). Although other brands draw vague inspiration from these subcultures, Social Suicide take it a step further, focusing on the unique details that made each subculture what it was. Lanvin Autumn/Winter 2008 Cardigans

selectism - Lanvin Autumn/Winter 2008 Cardigans

For several seasons we have been watching Lanvin closely and we love what we see from the French brand. When it comes to cardigans one thinks to have seen it all, but here we present you two out of the Lanvin Autumn/Winter 2008 collection that are definitely different and both fantastic.

The Double Front Cardigan comes with two button rows, making for a smart look when leaving the outer buttons open. The real genius piece though is the long cashmere cardigan. It might look like a backrobe at first, but worn right it looks great. A simple white t-shirt underneath and you are dressed.

Browns has both of them in stock now.

Public School Autumn/Winter 2008 Collection

selectism - Public School Autumn/Winter 2008 Collection

Public School, one of the new conspirators in the wave of young designers, introduces their second collection for Autumn/Winter 2008. Created by Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, the Autumn/Winter collection continues to capture the attitude and rebellious spirit of New York. "More of a continuation from Spring (Public School’s introductory collection) than a new concept, Public School’s AW 2008 collection will highlight finding perfection through imperfection and being able to accomplish a lot with just a little," says Chow. Public School has been known for creating clean imperfections in their designs, providing consumers with added elements such as removable plackets on zip front jackets, convertible collars on woven shirts and detachable fingerless leather gloves on parkas, just to name a few.

Silhouettes primarily focus on outerwear, offering an array of materials such as nylon, wool/leather mixes and thermal. Constructed wool plays a huge part in the collection, offering a cropped wool peacoat, a wool vest with a leather collar and an updated varsity jacket with removable sleeves. There is also an emphasis on trim and hardware: chunky zippers, a progressive use of oversized studs and leather-wrapped d-rings. Foundation colors remain the same – black, white, khaki, heather gray and chalkboard green.

From the very first time that we saw Public School at Capsule NYC, we like the collection, as it is simple to wear, but not boring and especially the little details that each piece features are very interesting.

The new Public School Autumn/Winter 2008 collection is now available at finer retailers.

Have a detailed look at the collection after the jump.
