rockers nyc summer '08 collection - highsnobiety

Much like Cassette Playa form the UK, Rockers NYC clearly has its roots in the streets. But for us it is a brand that transitions nicely into more contemporary fashion. Crazy patterns, colors and a wild imagination make it an exciting brand and something to keep an eye on for the future. We just love brands that are different and do their own thing, without getting off track by trends. Today we give you a look at their summer ‘08 collection.

The second delivery from Rockers NYC’s critically acclaimed Spring/Summer 2008 Sound & Fury collection has landed. With this delivery you will experience Rockers NYC outer-galactic cut and sew tees and accessories – the Evoleyes banner scarves, plus the Rockers NYC fanny pack. All this gear can be found in Rockers NYC accounts worldwide now!

Check all other goods of the collection after the jump.

ransom fall 08 preview - highsnobiety

Since its first collection was released last year, the Canadian brand Ransom has become a favorite. Classics are nicely re-interpreted with new materials and functionality. The line stays subtle, but is not boring.

That also seems to be the case with their upcoming Fall ‘08 collection. Matt George gives us a first look at some key pieces, including a nice hunting jacket with matching pants, a quilted shirt and also their first move into luggage.

Check out more detailed images after the jump.

David Chu For Tumi – Townhouse Collection

11 March 2008, 23.38 | Posted in Accessories | No comments »

david chu for tumi - selectismAs part of the Townhouse Collection that designer David Chu creates for Tumi, he now presents this beautiful new bag.

“As with his previous work for the brand, Chu has wedded some upscale flourishes (the leather bottom and handles) with old-fashioned practicality (a removable strap, two inside pockets) to create an elegant, understated weekend bag in time for spring.” Via Men.Style.Com.

We could not have said it better, even though it looks more like a shopping bag to us than a weekender. In terms of functionality and design, Tumi is definitely at the fore front of the luggage market. Thus we would love to see more high profile designers getting involved.

Monocle x Porter Collection

10 December 2007, 12.56 | Posted in Accessories | No comments »

Bags

Several times we have already reported about Monocle Magazine, probably one of the best launches in the magazine world in recent years. In terms of the way they brand themselves, advertise and of course present content from all sorts of areas, they are a truly modern magazine. Another interesting aspect is their approach towards branding. One channel for them is to collaborate with brands, that they admire and offer special products together with these brands. Porter from Japan is one of them. Since the inception of the magazine the two have been working together and now the latest collection has been released.

The current Monocle x Porter collection consists of a weekend traveler, tote shopping bag and a laptop bag. Both the weekend traveler and the tote bag come with extra bags, specifically made to store your goods efficiently inside them. Thus for example the weekend traveler comes with a laundry bag and a cosmetics bag. In terms of colors they offer each piece in military green and in black.

The line is now available in the B-Yoshida online store. Check out the entire Monocle by Porter collection after the jump.
