Fall River, MA is an old textile community that has had its share of ups and downs but modern day businesses like Frank Clegg Leatherworks – themselves around for decades – continues to share with the world their quality products in the world of leather goods. Their Aiden bag is strong look in collection and is a piece dedicated by Frank Clegg himself to his father – himself a craftsmen in the workshop for more than two decades. A full RIRI zipper extends the length of the bag. Brass details finish it off nicely. An exceptional bag made in Massachusetts.

We have come to rely on Travelteq for innovative and forward-thinking things that make all the abysmal fuckery that goes along with air travel in particular a little less abrasive. Brady bags have been around since the late 1800s, when the company was founded in Birmingham, England. Traditional production methods were applied to fine canvas, which was combined with English bridle leather and made to fasten with brass pieces for this exclusive line of bags for YMC.

Seeing some familiar but classic silhouettes here. We favor the zipper sack because it looks a little like a stolen money bag from the mid 1900s and we are tough as nails [not]. Fine array of colors, too, especially that searing khaki. Too strong a word, perhaps, but it seems to gleam on the computer screen. Speaking of, you can pick these up online for carrying things in the early 2000s.

The Bright Lennon backpack from Will Leather Goods is certainly both of those things. We like how the heritage look of the leather (the pocket flaps in particular) is neatly offset by bright colors that might not have found an audience in, say, 1890. Apparently these bags are wrought over the course of a 139-step factory line process, wherein additional rivets are added, box stitches are made and leather corners are reinforced. Always returning to Workers, K&TH – a small scale operation from Takashi Tateno based in Kurashiki, Japan. The collection moves around the same themes of classic American workwear so don’t expect to see future-leggings or ‘directional wardrobing’ anytime soon. For May Wabash fabric returns in a smart vest and railway jacket, alongside a heavy canvas tote, polka dot shirt and parachute trousers.

A super clean vegetable tanned briefcase from Scandinavian Sandqvist line. This one fits a 15inch lappy very nicely. The usual good stuff is there as well: YKK metal zip closures, and removable, adjustable shoulder strap. The win here is in the shape and the leather. Need Supply has them for $300.
