A beautiful new large size travel bag has released from English brand Mulberry. The Medium Clipper Holdall Bag comes with a black leather scotch grain upper, brown leather details and mixed canvas/leather straps. We love the elegance of the bag, while still having an overall sporty appearance. You know when you see some guy walking around with that totally over the top Gucci weekender? Like all stories being told these days, the inspiration for modern men’s bags continues to pull from the past. Consider Libero Ferrero. Here’s their story: “Brothers Matt, Adam and Peter Lafferty founded Libero Ferrero in homage to their grandfather, the brands namesake, which pays reverence to the creativity, ingenuity and dedication of his generation.” The bags are built with some of the most coveted leather of the moment – Horween. They do look great. The stitching on the saddles looks proper. But we are curious to know what makes them stand out in the very large pack of men’s bag makers.

Despite their recent penchant for overdoing it on the collaboration front, we still like a bit of Porter. It’s interesting to see what the company do next, especially as for so long their bags we’re used to silently say ’see, I have been to Japan, how else could I get this bag?’ Then again, it might just get like Supreme, gaining new fans whilst turning the old fans into the grumps going on about how they were into it before it got hyped. Paul Smith beats a few to market with their postcard like prints on accessories and bags for Autumn 2011. You’ll see many more of these motifs coming this spring. I’m not exactly sure why someone would want to rock the “Welcome to Las Vegas” laptop or toiletry bag, even with the Paul Smith vehicle in the foreground. There are better options, but if you must, head over to Por Vocacao and pick one up.

Secret Forts give us a closer look at some new styles from Stanley & Sons who continue to do great things with canvas and leather. The black satchel looks to be the pick of an impressive bunch, some nice touches with the back leather pocket and cross body strap. We’d be more than happy with any of these though.

Boston seems to be ready for a new retail boom with the launch of the new Bolyston Trading Co., a new project spearheaded by good friend, Frank the Butcher. The online only shop (brick and mortar to come in 2012) features a very strong collection of co-works that rival almost any terrestrial establishment in terms of name recognition and growth.

They previewed their forthcoming Lexdray collection; the first to see light of day since the BTC announcement earlier last week. Congrats and welcome to Bolyston Trading Co.

Remember that student project by Nicomede Talavera we first showcased back in June? He did a series of bags for Eastpak if you recall. Well, that collection looks to have entered a commercial production run exclusive to Selfridges in London. Eight to twelve units of each bag will be available for purchase.

Christoffer Dellstrand started his accessories line, c.dellstrand in Sweden but quickly moved to Paris to get things rolling. His leather works tend to remain within the boundaries of boxed forms that retain shape through very clean edge work. Wallets, laptop sleeves and more make up the unisex collection.

The snobs cover the Spring Summer 2012 bags and accessories from the Lanvin line. A bunch of charms to make a man slightly more unique. Quality is beautiful as long as you can handle the price – some items are reasonable enough. Worth a look.
