Creative Recreation continues to right the high road of succes with a new collection of shoes exclusive to Barneys for the forthcoming Holiday 2011 run. “The Zerilli’s were the result of Creative Recreation & Barneys wanting to do something unique with the classic wingtip design (Creative Recreation specializes in taking traditional footwear styles and giving them a “hybrid” twist). By utilizing genuine Horween leather yet in a bold color palette & studs, Creative Recreation achieved a genuine hybrid look for the low varieties, while the green style was blended with a classic Chelsea boot upper.”

In celebration of the re-opening of the Barneys Co-op on Madison Ave, Raleigh Denim produced a short run of hand-dipped indigo chambray trousers. 25 pairs of the straight leg denim will be made available to the public. They should wear in with some rich qualities.

Here’s an exclusive first look at the agnès b. Homme Autumn/Winter 2011 “capsule” collection for Barneys. Available in stores now, the “capsule” collection contains styles and looks encompass the agnes b. look: perfect white shirts, skinny leather jackets, suits, leather ties, and much more. Barney’s Tim Kalenderian explains that the collection was formulated to “appeal to the needs of our clients that have enough casual weekend sportswear and are seeking something a bit more sleek for the city.” We approve.

“Barneys New York celebrated Adam Kimmel x Carhartt with artists George Herms and Paintallica who constructed a site-specific installation that was commissioned for the Barneys New York 60th Street windows. The event was interactive and guests had the opportunity to play a role in the construction.”

Here’s an in-house boat shoe with chukka styling from Barneys New York. The Italian-made shoe comes in a dark brown finish and features a pronounced stitch detail on the sole (is it jute?).  Takes some strong queues from Japanese takes on this silhouette from a few years back.

The standout duo in Schott’s second exclusive set of coats for Barneys is a pair of bomber jackets. “A take on the G1 Bombers Schott created for the air force of the US Navy in WWII. The removable collar is made of genuine mouton. USN is pinned into the front wind strip like the originals.” The above version flips an authentic material, goatskin, by presenting a black finish instead of the traditional brown. Don’t worry though, brown is also an option and made with a naked cowhide prepared to age gracefully.
