If you’ve been reading monthly magazines, you may have noticed a couple of ‘blue is coming back’ editorials and articles. While blue is one of those colours that always makes a comeback when there isn’t really anything new coming in, we do agree with the sentiment. The cobalt blue colour would go great with a pair of grey jeans or, to a lesser extent, chinos. As you’d expect from a Jil Sander piece, it isn’t cheap – coming in at £180 ($256). We love this suede green woven belt from Mauro Grifoni. It’s a proper alternative to the brown leather weaves that carried the prep look through the end of the last century. Check the d-ring closure which is aged finished in heavyweight metal. A great belt. Available now from Fever for 52€.

We’ve seen our fair share of woven belts since Anderson’s made their comeback, but this Paul Smith one stands out. First off, it’s thick enough to not get confused for a women’s belt (you’d be surprised at how many woven belts fall at this hurdle). And most importantly, the colour used in the belt isn’t done in an overbearing way, so the belt would suit a higher number of outfits than a multicoloured belt would. Get it from Paul Smith.

The other day we gave you a look at the Matthew Williamson For H&M lookbook. Not only is it an interesting collaboration, it is also the first ever mens collection by the designer. Here we give you a look at the accessories of the collection. The line-up includes sunglasses, sneakers, a scarf and a belt. The entire collection certainly has a strong summer theme and uses lots of color. The accessories perfectly match that direction.

We love Band of Outsiders and appreciate their belt fashioned  with suspender closures. The striped finish on the belt fits well with grey and darker shade trouser. They’re made in the U.S.A. which is great but is it me or does this model resemble Liverpool and England striker Peter Crouch a little too much? Maybe if Band of Outsiders supplies the Brits with some suspender belts they’ll me more apt to qualify for the Euros this time around. Nick loves this one. A very nice d-ring belt with tabbed leather ends from the House of Tom Ford. The belt comes in a striped cotton merge in a colorway that pulls from the “Italia” inspiration that encompasses his current Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Available now from Colette.
