Bespoken Spring/Summer 2012 Presentation

Bespoken sticks to the casualness of Spring 2012 with their presentation during New York Fashion Week. The tone is set with the greys in the collection against trenches and jackets where garments give the wearer some space to exhale safely. Upper class casual done right.

Selectism - bespoken-tweed-coat-01

This isn’t new by any stretch of the word, but it’s too good to pass up. A good tweed overcoat is always a good addition to the wardrobe – some might use the S word – so when one’s available for a knock down price, we have to alert the troops. And yes, we’re now referring to readers as troops, get used to it. (Bespoke Boutique)

Bespoken Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection Presentation

Next up is a recap of the Bespoken Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection Presentation. The brand worked with lots of grey tones and grey wool for their upcoming collection. We also enjoyed their footwear for the new season, taking inspiration from more rural outdoor styles, yet adding a more sleek look to it.

Bespoken Spring 2011 Presentation

Selectism - Bespoken Spring 2011 Presentation

Take a look at the collection for Spring 2011 from Bespoken. Style gives their take (on the suits at least): “These are suits for the man on the move. High-twist Italian yarn makes them wrinkle-resistant, and the handful that are made of performance fabric from British Millerain—the original coated cotton provider—should stand up to some punishment in style. The Fayeds and their partners, the Goncalves brothers, have had the run of the Turnbull archives and they’ve made good use of it: There are collaborative shirts, ties, and pocket squares of vintage fabric, plus plenty of inspiration from the vault. Natty stuff, on the whole.”

Interview with Bespoken

Selectism - Interview with Bespoken

Limited Hype shares this interview with English clothier Bespoken. “With roots on London’s historic Jermyn Street at British clothier Turnbull & Asser, the Fayed and Goncalves brothers are bringing the bespoke philosophy to ready-to-wear for the next generation. The brothers decided to try their hand at catering to the offspring of the Turnbull regulars who appreciate old-world craftsmanship on slimmer, more modern cuts. Designed and manufactured in England with materials sourced from British and Italian textile mills, Bespoke combines classic Americana with British mod wit. In a few short seasons, Bespoke’s take on velvet, herringbone tweed and cashmere for blazers, cardigans and trousers have been well received both at home and on this side of the pond. We managed to catch up with 3 of the 5 that make up Bespoken just as the Fall/Winter 2011 collection is set to drop.”
