Hublot Big Bang Watch – Baby Million $$$$$

08 December 2011, 20.30 | Posted in Uncategorized | 2 comments »

Hublot Big Bang Watch - Baby Million $$$

The first of two watches we’ll feature today. We’ll start on the high end; the very reaches of the high end.

While we tend to avoid pushing to many of those Hublot Big Bangs through these pages (seriously, the number of make-ups in the Big Bang now rivals that of Nike’s mid 2000 SB sneaker colorways), we did find one that tops all other Big Bang’s before it.

The Hublot Baby Million is an aggressive baller-style timepiece with more than 440 baguette diamonds and another 422 to accent the hell out of the unit. The bracelet alone rolls in at more than 20 carats. 18 carat white gold behind the scenes as well.

God bless the reader who is contemplating the $302,000 necessary to rock this. We give it the five “$” rating for ridiculous.

Hublot Aero Bang Drive ACF Watch

Selectism - Hublot Aero Bang Drive ACF Watch

This cold very well be the last Big Bang of the year. We love this model and their desire to help world collectors by introducing multiple variations and limited editions of their Bang series. The Aero Bang Drive ACF Watch features  a microblasted black ceramic case measuring 44.5mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 100 meters. “The rotor is tungsten carbide with black PVD treatment.” A ‘banger’ for sure. 250 units are being produced. (timezone)

Hublot Selfridges Big Bang Chronograph

First, let me tell you how they put it. “Hublot is delighted to announce their special Limited Edition ‘Selfridges Big Bang’ timepiece, forming part of the Big Bang range, in celebration of Selfridges centenary year in the retail business. This new partnership honors not only a century of business but also a shared understanding and love of exceptional timepieces.” What’s missing from this description is that the Big Bang is available in an extremely limited run of ten unit, which can be interpreted as “friends and family” at best. That aside, it is a gem with the Selfridges Pantone 109C.

Selectism - Hublot Euro 2008 Big Bang

We love football and we love Hublot. Merge those together and you get the fantastic Euro 2008 Big Bang. “A version of their Big Bang watch, designed for EURO, has been launched at the Basel watch fair in Switzerland, with UEFA marketing chief Philippe Margraff one of the guests in attendance. Produced in a limited edition of 2008, the watch’s special features include 45-minute and 15-minute chronographs to allow users to time halves of football matches – and periods of extra-time – perfectly.”

Hublot Big Bang Ayrton Senna

RTEmagicC bigbang senna.jpg Hublot Big Bang Ayrton Senna

The Hublot Big Bang is definitely the watch that brought the traditional Swiss brand back to life. About 2 years ago, nobody heard or was interested in the brand, suddenly the Big Bang surfaced and was the new hit. Just in time, when the Audemars Piquet Offshore series was loosing popularity, simply because it was too much out there, Hublot jumped in and took that place with the Big Bang.

After the very popular Luna Rossa limited edition version of the watch, they now present the Ayrton Senna edition. The Hublot Big Bang Aryton Senna All Black Rattrapante sports the Ayrton Senna Institute, a non-profit institute founded by Viviane Senna, the sister of the deceased Brazilian racing driver, the Ayrton Senna. The watch is a Chronograph Split-Second with Power Reserve indicator in black with Ayrton Senna’s signature in red and the Brazilian flag in green and yellow on the Split-Second hand which can be used to record an intermediate time by means of the two chronograph seconds hands.

An incredible watch. In case you are interested, you better have good connections to your watch dealer, because these will be hard to find! Oh, and they go for 25′000 USD!
