The Ralph Lauren Black Label collection dips their toes into the world of denim this week with the launch of the “Black Label Denim” collection. a variety of fits are available in the denim jeans themselves, which look to pull from all angles including moto and cargos. Washed trousers, pea coats, cashmeres, and shirts are also included. The price ranges in the normal district and gets to $1200 highs.

Filson and their infamous Black Label collection is at times a tough nut to crack. Given that there are at least two variants of the Black Label collection in the wild (and both official), we can understand the difficulty. One of the easy indicators to distinguish between the Italian version of the collection and the domestic U.S.A. version of the collection “was” fit. But even this will not be a strong indicator in the future as the domestic U.S.A. Black Label now features more fashion forward cuts. In this post, we have looks at the forthcoming Spring/Summer 2012 collection from the Black Label (Italy) collection. New washes appear on their jackets, blazers, and classic duffle bags.

Burberry’s Black Label does not get as much attention on our sites compared to Prorsum, so we’ll bring them forth for a moment. The collection is one of the more difficult to attain from the Burberry line, which is probably one of the reasons we do not hear much from their P.R. on it. Maybe that will change soon. We hope it does as Black Label does compete well against the other ranges of “black label” collections on the market. This is menswear done right on a very high level.

The Berlin office loves to remind us of all the wonderful goods we have here right. Bread & Butter Berlin served up some interesting exclusive debuts for the Europeans, which may lead to some jealous neighbors in the Americas and Far East. The Filson “Black Label” collection,  is (at this time) looks at this time to be a European exclusive. “Black Label” collection was designed and produced in Italy – with source materials coming direct from Filson’s Seattle archive. Original hunting (almost farmer) pants and shirts has been slightly modified for a more modern fit. The pants and shorts, especially) should be held in hand to feel the durability in the material.

Our friends at men.style get some preview looks of the OAK and OAK Black Label line for Autumn 2009. “If you’re a guy who prefers to skip the hassle of destroying your jeans and would rather pick them up pre-shredded, Oak’s the place to be. The retailer-turned-designer previews its in-house collection for Fall tonight. It consists, as ever, of the sort of punky basics Oak’s East Villager and Williamsburgher clientele loves: oversize, stretched-out tees; shaggy flannels; and denim that’s already gone through the wringer. The styling ranges from everyday wearable to the more directional, but one constant is the quality—an aspect that’s getting punched up even further with the new Oak Black Label line, also launching this evening”

Samsonite Black Label’s re-issue of their original trunk from the 1920’s is now available exclusively from Colette FR. Priced well at 640$US, the trunk does not come with a chauffeur nor a private jet, but you will look exceptional when checking in at the George V in Paris. Avaialble in white or black.

The striking rib cage "Hero" luggage that is the signature for Alexander McQueen’s Samsonite Black Label luggage is about to get  a new exterior with some shine – in a limited edition of course. "The shiny exterior, courtesy of a new paint technology, is developed in conjunction with Bayer. First developed for the motor industry, the paint is thermoformable and highly resistant to impact." As well it would seem that the coating is scratch resistant. I’d love to put this claim to the test through Heathrow or Dulles, the kings of airport handling. Fear not fans of the Black Label "Travel" crocodile skinned design. Its getting the shiny treatment too. Look for it come this November. (via li)
