SeaVees 08/65 Boating Moccasin

selectism - SeaVees 08/65 Boating Moccasin

In August of 1965, Robin Lee Graham hoisted the sails his 24-foot sloop, Dove, and left Southern California to circumnavigate the globe on a solo voyage. He returned in 1970, the youngest (at that time) to complete the task. Graham’s adventure was documented in National Geographic, recounted in his own book Dove, and became subject of a Gregory Peck-produced feature film.

Now, in 2010, the spirit of Graham’s voyage has been channeled by SeaVees for their 08/65 Boating Moccasin. The toe is hand-stitched with waxed thread and the sole is fitted with SeaVees signature herring bone. Upper options include a tumbled pull-up full-grain leather or hairy suede.
