From his newest collection titled, “The Last Pier Pandemonium,” Henrik Vibskov displays a bit of chaos in the pattern work for some of his new wears. The “Puddy Bomber jacket” displays a “blue, grey and yellow blend” with a “zig-zag patchwork design.” The jacket also showcases “a concealed zipper, press stud fastening and ribbing at the cuffs, bottom and collar.” The piece is only available in the one print: cotton stones. The standout duo in Schott’s second exclusive set of coats for Barneys is a pair of bomber jackets. “A take on the G1 Bombers Schott created for the air force of the US Navy in WWII. The removable collar is made of genuine mouton. USN is pinned into the front wind strip like the originals.” The above version flips an authentic material, goatskin, by presenting a black finish instead of the traditional brown. Don’t worry though, brown is also an option and made with a naked cowhide prepared to age gracefully.

Following on its 25th Anniversary Collection from August, the Duffer of St. George releases a series jackets in the second wave of the collection this month. Included is the above Tartan Bomber (with the obvious wool body, leather sleeve combo). Complementing this item are two more jackets, a duffel coat and a quilted jacket. This appears to be the season of reinventing old jackets. Everyone has been writing about the return of the trench (I thought that returned about two years ago?) and now lightweight Baracuta-style bomber jackets are the latest to get the revival treatment.
