The Mustache Bowtie

Here’s a terrific reminder that clothing can, and should occasionally, just be fun.

The guys at Self Made are a bit silly (and may or may not love Rick Ross), which comes across clearly in their first product – a series of mustache shaped bowties of felt and leather.

The Windmill Club Silk Neckties and Bowties for Autumn 2010

The Windmill Club Silk Neckties and Bowties for Autumn 2010

Our Berlin bureau loves this men’s collection of neckwear from The Windmill Club. Some words from the Freeman folks on the neckwear brand. “Kevin Burrows is doing a fantastic job at elevating his brand in a way that’s approachable and easy to be inspired by plus his ties are made in NYC.  The ties are 2.75″ at the widest point and are offered in some ideal patterns and colours, all made in extremely limited quantities from deadstock silk.  Deadstock is essentially the very nature of the word, meaning once it’s gone it’s gone.” Much of it is gone but get in there for some final shots.

Another selection of bowties for those dudes into them. This time, we focus in on COTO’s collection of English silk, woven in New York City wears. Choose from a variety of looks as shown above wrapped around my least favorite of espresso beans. I’ll let it go this time.

Alexander Olch Bow Ties for Spring 2009

Colette has taken stock on a large selection of bow ties from New York’s Alexander Olch. We love how Colette describes his wears. “He looks through his collections to democratize and to popularize the accessory. A well-kept manufacturing, noble materials and a modern design, finished the snobbery of former days, the tie is certainly the ally of the suit but can be to wear with a simple jeans and converse!”
