Breitling delivers a new round of Colt Super Quartz watches for 2011. As ABTR tells us, “The new for 2011 Colt watches will come in three styles, a 33mm wide women’s model, a 44mm wide three-hand, and a 44mm wide chronograph. Each will have a Swiss ETA quartz movement, but not just any quartz movement – a Super Quartz. This is the name ETA has given their family of high-end thermoline (thermo-compensated) quartz movements that are much more sophisticated than your standard bargain basement quartz movements. In addition to being much higher-quality, they are also accurate to within about 10 seconds year.”

A monster from Breitling previewing just before BASELworld  next month.  Here is the Breitling Chronospace Automatic Chronometer – soon to be available in four dial colors. ”The case, in stainless steel, measures 46mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 200 meters. The new Chronospace Automatic is available with a choice of four dial colors – Volcano Black, Mariner Blue, Tungsten Gray and Stratus Silver – enhanced by black totalizers.” The only accessory a man needs – if you have to choose one. Next Spring will be a big one for the Breitling house of watches. Everyone is going bonkers over this leaked photo of the new Breitling Superocean. From what we can gather this will debut this coming week at Baselworld. What’s most interesting as a current Superocean owner is the new face. The yellow contrasts nicely against the dark casing. We’re assuming we’ll see some more colors debuted at the show. As many of you know, I rock a Breitling and will continue to do so until my budget allows me to procure another fine wrist device. Just in time for the big watch shows in Europe comes this refresh of the Colt model from Breitling. It is indeed a heavy faced watch measuring in with a 41.3mm casing. “Dials can be had in Volcano black, Air Force blue, Tungsten grey and Stratus silver. It comes on a rubber strap or the Professional bracelet in stainless steel.” (timezone)

Timezone brings news of a new Breitling model that celebrates not only the maker’s 125th anniversary but also applauds the first chronograph to experience space travel. The Breitling Cosmonaute Automatic Chronograph is limited to 1000 units and features a stunning Air Racer perforated bracelet against a 41.5 mm casing.”It features a 1/5th of a second chronograph, 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers and Flyback function.”

Designed and worn exclusively by the Horsemen P-51 Flight Demonstration Team, 25 of these Breitling Aerospace special edition models exist world wide. A favorite of pilots, the Aerospace is built with a titanium case and notable for its careful organization. Eight of the Horseman Breitling’s are available to the public, exclusively through the ASB Store. Once sold, a random drawing will be held giving all purchasers the chance of a flight with one of the Horsemen team members.

A Blog to Read gives us the lowdown on the Breitling Airwolf Raven Chronograph SuperQuartz Watch by citing what makes this Breitling much different than the usual “chronograph watch in a heavy highly polished metal case.”

“Breitling decided to add actual chronograph pushers instead of having all the functions be operated through the crown (in other Airwolf models as well). Other functions in the two negative LCD screens are a second timezone, alarm, countdown timer, and perpetual calendar. The chronograph function measures 1/100 of a second time. The hands of the watch are similar to those on the new 2009 Aerospace watch that are longer and have counterweights.”

Breitling celebrates the 125th anniversary of their Navitimer watch with two releases – a 125 piece limited run 18kt rose gold version and 2,009 units stainless steel edition. Both versions of the Navitimer 125th Anniversary feature a 43mm casing, dials in black, bronze, or silver, and the new Air Racer bracelet, which i truly wish I could purchase to retrofit onto my SuperOcean.
