A showpiece for sure and the color is about as perfect as it gets. Runs in at $495, which is actually a fair price for this Thom Browne work, but it should have been done in fleece.

On Thom Browne’s work: “his men, meanwhile, will be just as ready for a weekend at the country club, i.e. a cotton pique sack suit with a bright pink blazer and green pants. Browne’s uberprep moment doesn’t mean he turned his back entirely on some of his earlier designs. I don’t know if I’ve ever described a shirt as cheerful or if I’ve ever wanted to but this Brooks Brothers number just makes me happy. It’s an Oxford (always a good start) and it’s made up of a variety of coloured stripes. Non Iron Supima cotton, button down collar and a fit perfectly in-between slim and regular. Nice. Mr. Porter has it.

Thom Browne, of course, drives the American sportswear collection forward while remaining controlled and present in the collection. Brooks Brothers was established in 1818 as a fashion emporium here in America. The company has “become an institution that has shaped the American style of dress. Recently, they partnered up with Peal & Co. and have been manufacturing hand-selected shoes in England. “The Cordovan Boot” for this season is exceptional. The boot has a cordovan shell, Goodyear welt construction and is leather lined. A slim aesthetic with a classic tone for the boot. A piece of history for sure.

Flip-flops aside, slippers are still king of my front yard walk. Hell, if Omar can walk to get his cereal in a pair, so can you. Do it in leather – nappa at that. Suede lined for the comfort. They have it.

If you’re on the hunt for a cream briefcase (and who isn’t?) then this Brooks Brothers one should be up your alley. Obviously, giving it’s creamy appearance, it’s not suitable for an office, but it’s just fine for all you creative types out there. (Brooks Brothers)

We first looked at the fragrance offering from Black Fleece last September. Today, we get some more information on the Japan launch of this fragrance from the high-end side of the Brooks Brother’s business. Now, we should note that they’re looking more and more like women’s fragrances but seeing as most guys want to keep their femmes in the fold of goodness, they should consider picking these up once they land outside those Japan shores. Brooks Brother’s Black Fleece brings some new goodness to the proper boot game with their “Coniston” boot for Autumn 2010. The boots are made in England and feature a “double welted rubber studded sole to help prevent slipping…Storm welt [and] leather locker loop.” The blue color is in line with their strategy (of course).
