Montauk isn’t the most innovative setting for a lifestyle shoot, but in the hands of the talented Mr. Bruce Weber, Dedon’s “Easy” campaign is just that. The German outdoor furniture firm celebrates the all-American summer with all-American girls.

Dazed Digital debuted the short behind-the-scenes film today (view that at link), noting, “Legendary US photographer has once again teamed up with luxe furniture make Dedon for a new campaign and film. Dazed today premieres ‘Easy, exclusive Behind-the-Scenes footage filmed on location at Montauk, off the American east coast. Featuring two of Weber’s favourite girls – 90s super model Elaine Irwin and Dree Hemingway – the clip shows them dancing around a Dedon chair and relaxing in a nautical environment. The main film, ‘Barefooting around the world’, is the natural follow up to ‘Tree House’, Weber’s previous collaboration with Dedon and its founder, Bobby Dekeyser. The mammoth campaign shoot involved over 90 people and included creatives like set designer Stefan Beckaman and Dedon’s Creative Director for the shoot, Alex Wiederin.”

A selection of Weber’s images for Dedon follow after the jump.

Bruce Weber for Dedon

German outdoor furniture brand Dedon has been on quite the run these past months. After they have invaded pretty much every 5 Star Hotel in recent years, we definitely felt like it was time for a change in their direction and that is exactly what took place this past year. Just the other day we reported about their collaboration with ueber-designer Philippe Starck and their recent work with Italian brand FLOS on a lamp collection is certainly also note-worthy.

Their 2010 campaign was shot by photographer Bruce Weber. We really liked his work on the Moncler campaign last year and were looking forward to see what he had done with Dedon. The campaign is now out and we believe that overall it was a good direction. Dedon was previously always portrayed in a cold, untouchable way and for the first time they took a more personal route. We also love the mess that Bruce Weber celebrates in his pictures. If we had to point out something negative at all, we would actually have preferred if the whole campaign was not so “happy”, if you know what we mean.

Take a look for yourself after the jump.

Bruce Weber translates his unique style of photography for Moncler’s Fall Campaign. Like many, we loved his recent work for A.P.C. and are excited to see his latest with outerwear brand. WWD explains more. “Moncler, for one, has hatched an unusual fall advertising campaign that stems from the new friendship between Remo Ruffini, Moncler’s chairman and creative director, and Bruce Weber.” Take a look at the ball those young men are rolling up the hill.

More looks at the Moncler Fall campaign as shot by Bruce Weber after the jump.
