And, given that they’re among the best value sweatshirts you can find, we feel we’re entitled to have a bit of a repeat showing. We’re having a sweatshirt morning. We do like our Buzz Rickson here at SL because they’re well done and affordable. We’re sure Lands End has them for cheaper but we’d rather get one great sweatshirt than five so-so ones. It’s a Japanese brand, so sizing up would be the best advice we can give. A slightly redesigned khaki from Fennica for Buzz Rickson. “To give a modern look, he has mixed military and ivy elements and made the pants wearable with various items. The legs are straight and slim. It is slightly high-waist, but the beautifully shaped silhouette around the hips makes the pants very smart. The back-belt detail gives a bit of an Ivy touch.” A nice straight leg finish.  Kapok has them.

Nothing like a good sweatshirt to get us going in the morning. And, if you haven’t guessed from that last sentence, this is a good sweatshirt. And just like the only problem with white sweatshirts is the finite period that it actually remains white, the issue with black sweatshirts is that you can look like a guy who, to put it gently, believes in the ’ski-mask way’ of acquiring items. To offset this, just wear it with your usual dressed by the internet garb and people will know you’re just a harmless blog reader. (The Original Store)

Sugarcane’s Buzz Rickson line shows their latest parka from the “William Gibson” Collection at (capsule) show Las Vegas this week. It’s a true banger of a parka. Putting aside the sheer weight of the jacket, we look to the details such as the coyote fur lined hood, stitching, and the overall abundance of storage. You could very well carry your life to a distant planet in the parka. Look for it through select retailers later in the year.
