Further camo action on the hill. Studio D’Artisan delivers a pair of five pocket camo shorts. Not much to say that cannot be gathered from the images, expect that they are made in Japan. Ripstop fabric makes them durable and light. Well up there at $215 a pair. Blue & Green has them. Do we see some flying pigs hidden in the pattern?

Gitman Bros. Camo Shorts

Depending on where you stand: you either appreciate or dislike fitted/styled camo. We will stay neutral on the matter but will say this: many times, finding a unique dpm/camo look requires serious digging at dollar per load garment outlets or hunting at the very best textile fairs you can. Rarely will you find a perfect size match and if you are like me, will take your finds to get tailored or adjusted after all that work.

To save yourself the hassle, the modern men’s market offers you a variety of takes on camo and most of the time tailored for your fit. Gitman Bros. camo print is on the lighter side and works very well for us. While we prefer a slightly more relaxed feel to it all, these will certainly work for most. Garbstore has them in two shades. Made in India.

Dockers Alpha Khaki in Camo

dockers alpha camo pants 1 Dockers Alpha Khaki in Camo

Not to overpraise a fit but it took me some time to get into a pair of the Dockers Alpha series khaki pants and I wish I had put them on earlier. The fit is a very proper, not too slim fit trouser that uses heavyweight khaki fabric for some new accents on wear. They’re built like denim and it shows. They price in just under $128 for the more limited of looks. Camo does it right.

Available in the assorted four flavors that the Dockers Alpha offers their khakis – raw, 1, 5, and 10 year washes), the camo take on this proper fit is an easy win for the springtime. Find them at Urban Outfitters and Dockers.com.

Denham Duty 01 Denham M65 Re Cut Duty Camo Jacket

Denham present some extreme camo action via their interpretation of the M65 U.S military jacket. A full on piece of outerwear in both print and spec. This jacket carries an incredible amount of detail, particularly with the pockets which come in several varieties from removal ‘Brassards’ to vertical zipped airline ticket holders. The fabric is made from vintage Dutch army ponchos flipped inside out – why not?  Although this fabric was originally designed to keep you hidden, you’ll be anything but in this bold homage to a military classic. .

CAMO (Italy) Autumn/Winter 2012 – Full Looks

CAMO (Italy) Autumn/Winter 2012 - Full Looks

Slightly early, we know, for a full look, but Italy’s CAMO could not resist sharing. As we mentioned from Pitti, the new CAMO collection works around the “Casino” theme based around those all important chips.

CAMO’s “Casino Collection” asks for you to “bet on yourself.” The four main colors of casino chips influence more than 100 garments in the collection – their largest collection yet. Be it a card game inside your home, pub, or casino, CAMO reminds us that risk is important.
