Slews of new looks for Autumn 2011 will begin to pour in this January and as usual, Selectism will be on-hand to cover as many of them as we can. Here’s an early preview from one of the best Italian fashion upstarts in the last few years: CAMO. While misplaced initially on the Bread & Butter “Street” floor a few years ago, they quickly came to the forefront of what is the modern menswear movement. Absolutely solid brand. (cs)

Here is a bit of a preview of what Wallpaper* and Laser Sailboats has in store for Salon del Mobile in Milan later this year. The commissioned Marian Bantjes to work over this Laser sailboat in a “dazzle camo” print. As Bantje’s describes it, “I avoided the obvious of working with organic forms to go with the wind, water, etc., and instead work deliberately against those forms. I wanted to make something that was incredibly distinctive in the water, and which would disguise its speed and versatility.” (core77)

Many have been waiting for the Lanvin accessories to hit doors and by the looks of it, the time has arrived. Lanvin’s Camo Print tote bag was one of the most talked about pieces this July in Berlin. The bag is a solid offering with a sub $1k pricetag. Aloha Rag has them.

You can always rely on Lanvin for a few things. Firstly, great design and secondly, the ability to make any other purchase you make seem like a bargain. Take this Camo backpack for instance. At over 900 smackers (we need to bring that back as a phrase) it makes the H by Harris bags we’ve been obsessing over seem like a comparative bargain. Although, if you’ve got enough money to purchase either of these then you’re unlikely to be looking at price tags.  (Browns)

With their nomination for Pitti’s young designer award and ever-expanding stockist list, it’s fair to say that Camo have officially blown up *insert Westwood-esque bomb here*. A sale piece like this is so necessary right now – it’ll do well in the summer nights and will last right through to the depths of winter as a layer. (C-Store)

Camo is a line which we have kept tabs on for some time. This set of half shirts from their Spring/Summer collection are available in a couple of striped colors. They’re well casual and perfect for the season. c-store has them.

Don’t let the name put you off – as far as we know, Diddy had nothing to do with the making of this piece. Without sounding like a nostalgic granddad, we’ve been fans of Camo ever since we first saw them back in B&B last January. Pieces like this Polo shirt are great examples of why they’re stocked at several top stores around the world. The small collar might be a little much for those addicted to classics being replicated down to the last detail, but we’re always fans of a little updating. (C-Store)
