New York’s Joya pours their fragrance based candles into vintage British Army soap dishes from 1945 for their limited edition “Army Candle.” A natural soy wax blend has two scents added to it:  Dawn (Amber Absolute) and Dusk (Bitter Orange Leaf). They come packaged in British camo “that has been tailored by hand in the size of a traditional handkerchief” and wrapped in olive green paracord. 100 units of the Joya Army candle have been produced. Invoking the warm embers of a glowing camp fire, the “KML” candle by Baxter of California for Unionmade is a bold blend of Cedar and Sandlewood moderated with Guiacwood Oil. A true collaborative effort, the “KML”candle was conceived in tandem by J.P. Mastey, President BAXTER OF CALIFORNIA and Todd Barket founder of UNIONMADE. Housed in a sophisticated round craft paper box, the candle is in battle ship grey wax.

Tobias Wong, may he rest in peace, is responsible for the conception of “The Times of New York Candle.” Produced by Bondtoo – the idea was realized by creative director Josée Lepage – in an edition of 1000, the candle pays homage to the Grey Lady and hints at the scent omitted by old newsprint. ACNE celebrates their digs at Lilla Nygatan 23 in Stockholm with a signature candle. ”Inspired by the building’s heavy stone façade, its traditional hardwood floors and the vast and grandiose ballroom that is its crowning glory, ACNE’s Jonny Johansson in collaboration Ben Gorham and BYREDO PARFUMS wanted to create a fragrance that captured the house’s notable past. Together with renowned perfumer Olivia Giacobetti, the scent Lilla Nygatan 23 is the result, a fragrance that is reminiscent of the building’s distinguished history with traces of cold stone, warm woods and traditional incense.”

The ACE Hotel NYC gives every detail of their establishment serious review. Take, for example, the scent of the hotel, which is now proudly burned into the air through the PIN 12 scented candle from independent perfume brand, Le Labo. The soy wax candles are hand poured and made in the USA (like all Le Labo goods).
