Il Bussetto Card Holder

Il Bussetto Card Holder

If you’re going to own, carry and distribute a business card and you’re looking to make a good impression it’s probably best not to pull them out of your wallet battered, creased and covered in some unidentifiable blue smudges. Sure, you could stick them in one of those Sainsbury’s sandwich bags, you could even store them in an old bank statement envelope. However these Il Bussetto envelope card holders were put on earth for a purpose and who are we to deny them of their destiny? Handmade in Italy, 100% vegetable tanned leather, these are constructed with smooth, seamless precision and come in a variety of colours all of which we’d be happy with. Get yours at Goodhood.

Martin Margiela Two Piece Card Holder

So we’ve come to the conclusion that, judging from the sheer amount of appearances on here, Margiela are SL’s favourite label. We’re not ashamed either, we love their stuff, both pre and post the man himself. Why do we like them? Take a look at that card holder. And then slap yourself for asking that question. (Oki-Ni)

Highsnob points us at these Mismo card holders. “Danish brand Mismo never disappoints. We can safely say that we have not come across a canvas luggage brand to date, that is so consistent with their design and quality. Here we take a look at their card holders. In true Mismo fashion, these come in a mix of canvas and leather.”

Wooden Oyster Card Holder

Selectism - oyster-card-holder-01

Here’s something that’s strictly for the UK dwellers (sorry). This Oyster card holder has a sufficiently ye olde worlde ‘Tally Ho’. The card works whilst inside the wood holder and could probably fit a credit card or two if you’re not a user of the underground. (Hidden Arts)

Everybody knows about Mismo at this point, so snap up a bargain while you can. This Mismo cardholder is just £41, which is so bargainous we might just spontaneously combust. No hyperbole. (End)

Selectism - Mismo Cardholder

Cardholders are arguably an important supplement to a man’s wallet. While I prefer to stuff them into my zipup or flap (depending on which I use for the day), others will appreciate something more permanent. “The Mismo Cardholder is small, but perfectly formed, with enough slots for all your cards, and leather edging to add resilience. This showcases Mismo’s expertise brilliantly and is an incredible, every day essential.” End has them.

Paul Smith Card Holder

You already know the drill – we like card holders. They’re slick, they’re sleek and they’re perfect for those days when a wallet would overfill your pockets. As for this specific card holder, it’s the usual Paul Smith style – understated, with a splash of colour. We shouldn’t have to say anymore, so we won’t. (Matches)

Isaac Reina for Limoland Card Holders

Before you say anything, we know we’re taking our sweet time showing this Limoland Spring/Summer 2010 collection. If you hate anything Limoland do, then you’re out of luck. If you’re the open minded type (and you should be) then at least one of these card holders should be up your alley.

Limoland’s approach can be summed up in three words – they love colour. It’s not a hard formula to break down, respected brand + bright colours = Limoland collab. Thankfully, this style actually suits pieces like these card holders.

You know the drill, pictures are after that leap.

Ann Demeulemeester card holder

We’ve been saying this but we’ll say it again – we’re all about the card holders. A nice small wallet is good, but due to the fact that we only carry cards nowadays, we’re losing our use for them. With a card holder just put all your cards in there and you’re good to go. It slims down the pocket and, more importantly, will help you avoid that wallet fade in your denim. Price-wise, it’s a bit lower than you’d expect for an Ann D piece – but it’s still a long way from cheap. (The Corner)

File this one under ‘odd moves’. You may have forgotten, but Eluxury are now shutting down in just two weeks time. One the one hand you can mourn the loss of a good online store, which stocked a far few Selectism favourites. On the other hand, there’s a sale going on and you’d be silly to not take advantage. By now you should how we feel about card holders. They’re slim, sleek and perfect for those who don’t carry much cash around with them. This Paul Smith card holder is down to $74 and to be honest, we would have recommended it at full price. Get it from Eluxury.
