Complaining about the lack of availability of Japanese labels we love has become a bit of a broken record. It is more than little irritating to see so many fine goods just out of our reach, however there’s light at the end of the tunnel. We welcome the arrival of more and more of our favourites in local stockists. One such label, Journal Standard, has gradually taken over increasing amounts of space on the shelves of East London Store Present. This Shawl cardigan from their J.S Homestead label is a great example of something simple, executed beautifully. A ‘Rough Dry’ loose knit, 2 waist pockets and a substantial collar available in either Natural or Navy. More of this please.

We’re down with this*. This filled cardigan makes for an interesting layering piece and something we’d happily get our proxy on for. ____________ You see that space? We like it because it has all the cosiness of a regular shawl cardigan, with the added (forgive the cliche) twist of the panelled strips on the arms. Classic with a twist and all that jazz.
