We present you two fantastic pieces out of the Opening Ceremony Autumn/Winter 2008 collection. The Shawl Collar Cardi is a toffee/navy buffalo plaid knit cardigan with a shawl collar and a wide navy rib along the bottom hem. We like how thick it is and how comfortable it looks.

Even better we think is the worker’s coat. It is made from 100% Woolrich wool. The black and white buffalo plaid winter coat comes with a black shawl collar and two button flap waist pockets, along with a vertical, welt pocket at the breast. The large buffalo plaid almost makes it elegant, rather than raw. 

Both the Opening Ceremony Shawl Collar Cardi and the Worker’s Coat are now available at Oak.

Lacoste got together with United Arrows sub label Beauty & Youth. Together they worked on a series of classic cardigans, which come in black, red and grey, each featuring stripes across the cuffs and the button lining.

Folk offers some unique knitwear for Fall 2008 with a variety of cardigans made in Bolivia from 100% Alpaca. Their slim fitting form sticks well to the body and doesnt show the usual stretch that your grandma’s cardigan gifts may. Available now from oki-ni.

The cardigans out of the Comme des Garcons PLAY collection were always among out favorite. Simple, good fit, yet the red heart logo gives them something a bit more exciting.

As part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection they have released a new version of the cardigan, now coming with striped on the waist band and the cuffs, reminding us of the classic American college cardigan.

Sweden’s Rickard Lindqvist “Assymetrical Cardigan” for S/S 08 may throw the balance off for some, but when but when buttoned closed, give the garment a bunched bulk feel. Some may try to warn you of a misguided buttoning technique. Others will appreciate the unique silhouette that such construction can bring. Available now at Tresbienshop.

Kitsuné has always been special in what ever they did. With a strong music background the Parisians will open their first flagship store end of the month and present since a couple of seasons a clothing line of selected pieces.

YMC is another label that we have been closely watching over the past couple of seasons. Their new Spring/Summer 2008 collection just entered stores and we have already found a piece that really attracted out attention – the cable knit cardigan. The collar looks great, also the high buttons look good and for anybody that has ever tried on a piece like this will know, they also make sense.
