Pulled this look from Modeman. This Carin Wester backpack is wooly proper for Autumn 2011. Leather straps secure it to your back. The white fur gives it a unique look. Wear it with your Sasquatch Band of Outsiders chukkas.

The Moses Sweater from Carin Wester is a black simple 50/50 acrylic/cotton mix which sits loose and it cropped high on the waist. Not your normal sweater, but you may accomplish the same effect with some shrinkage and pulling on an old sweater sitting in your closet. Consider this one professionally made. H&C has them.

Carin Wester’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection reminds me of Blur’s “Boys & Girls.” The drapery in the collection is almost more than what some would consider street ready. Even more so is the concern that the looks are made for the taller among us and borrow heavily from the other side of fashion. Wester’s Autumn collection follows the same lead, but could be described as a bit subdued. We present Spring/Summer here for review.  (via fashionisto)

The best designs for cold weather knits usually come from people designing them in the cold lands of the world. Take these three gorgeous knits from Carin Wester. The Ingram Knit sweater comes in a bright orange or blue with a very "Swizz Alps" 1970’s kinda feel. The Ivan Knit is a high buttoned wool cardigan with some excellent details and highlights that should be seen in person to understand.

Modern Swedish fashion just keeps on rolling. Since finishing studies at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, Carin Wester has spent little time working for anyone but herself. In 2003, she launched her signature line and quickly received acclaim with “Designer of the Year” honors by Swedish ELLE.
