Aloha Rag collaborated with one of Italy’s finest cashmere company, Annapurna, on a variety of goods for the winter. Two favorites are the simple mock neck sweaters – in grey or black, which should not be confused with your aunt’s style turtle necks. These are low profile, with side button-ups that cover the nape just enough without that choker impression. The cashmere is finished with a great skull stitch on to ensure that the evil in you comes out when you wear these sweaters. Get them now from AR.

Loro Piana’s Baby Cashmere

Selectism - Loro Piana's Baby Cashmere

“In the mountainous regions of Inner Mongolia, Loro Piana discovered Baby Cashmere®: a rare and precious fibre exclusively obtained from the underfleece of the Hyrcus goat kid. It is gathered by means of a delicate and completely harmless procedure done only once in a goat’s life, when it is between three and twelve months old. Loro Piana Baby Cashmere® is available in extremely limited quantities: one kid produces barely 80 grams of the softest undefleece which, once the coarser outer fibres have been discarded, results in just 30-40 grams of useable fibre. So fine are the fibres of Baby Cashmere® that it takes the underfleece of 19 kids to make just one pullover.” (via Luxist)

Lucien Pellat Finet x Kenny Scharf

French cashmere expert Lucien Pellat Finet has collaborated this season with artist Kenny Scharf. The artist that became famous in the 80’s, is known for his fusion of fantastic fiction and pop culture – cartoon like characters from an imaginary universe. 4 caricatures from his early works were taken and put onto the fine cashmere of the French brand.

In other news, there is also a new Lucien Pellat Finet flagship store now in London – 51 Elizabeth Street!

Atelier La Durance Cardigan

RTEmagicC ald cardigan.jpg Atelier La Durance Cardigan

Atelier La Durance is one of those special labels, that keeps their collection very small and sticks to the basics. Also they only make products, where they can be sure they are of the best quality and it would be impossible to make it better. At the same time they only create timeless pieces, that once they entered the collection come back every season. This perfectionism is something we admire about the brand.

Specialized in denim, the brand has also launched a nice knitwear collection and now added a cardigan to it. Made from a cashmere, angora & lambswool mix it features a classic straight cut with a slightly oversized button fastening. It has a ribbed cuff and hem finish and two patch pockets. Using the longer fibers, the tight knit retains its proper shape and softness. The Atelier LaDurance embroidered logo comes in a subtle blue on the chest with a side seam label.

The cardigan is now available in navy blue and grey at Oki-Ni.
