Established in 1661, the Château Rauzan-Ségla vineyard celebrates 350 years of wine making with a special edition 2009 vintage bottle featuring a label by Karl Lagerfeld. Lagerfeld renders the Château Rauzan-Ségla grounds in his own unique way. “This Grand Cru Classé will hit retail in March at fine wine purveyors nationwide for $129.” Chanel purchased the vineyard in 1994. Highsnobiety reports in on the latest J Diver from the Chanel watch collection. “Celebrating ONLY WATCH 2011, Chanel has released a unique model of the J12 Diver timepiece.” The 38mm face comes in a “sand-blasted” black ceramic with 18kt rose gold.

Beautifully done facade video work by Universal Everything for CHANEL store. “CHANEL invited Universal Everything to create a series of video artworks, in response to the 5 codes of Mademoiselle Chanel; Black & White / Pearls / Diamond Padding / Camellia / Art Deco. The minimalist films were created to be adaptable to different display formats, from low-pixel building facades in Hong Kong and Tokyo, to retail LED walls in Shanghai and Los Angeles.”  (tfib)

HS pulled this big blue out of the water. “Chanel continues to develop their J12 watch collection. For this summer they are coming out with a diving version of the popular watch – the J12 Marine. The watch features a black dial, blue diving bezel and a rubber bracelet. It will come in two sizes and will be released soon.”

Chanel dropped some new “anniversary” ceramic at Baselworld 2010 with the help of the team at Audemars Piguet Renaud Papi. Looking at the photos really does not do justice to what the mechanics of the watch are doing. You may need to read this twice to grasp the complication.

“The name of this watch is beginning to take on meaning: Rétrograde for the minute hand which reverses its travel for ten minutes during which, at each revolution of the dial, the hand returns to its position under the crown -i.e. between 10 and 20 past each hour, with the minute counted in figures in the magnifying aperture at the bottom of the dial -and Mystérieuse for the mysterious workings of this dual analog and digital display.
