Some more ‘American Sportswear’ goodness from Mister Freedom. This fall, Dockers will launch the ‘Alpha’ Khaki, a slim fit trouser designed to wear like jeans. With over-lock stitched seams and a heavy weight fabric (which will capture the personality of the wearer), the ‘Alpha’ Khaki marries the aesthetic of the chino with the attributes of denim. Twelve colors will be available.

To mark the introduction of the ‘Alpha’ Khaki, Dockers has collaborated with New York City’s first barber shop/cocktail parlor – the Blind Barber.  Located in the East Village, the Blind Barber was the backdrop for Dockers Fall 2011 campaign and featured the founders and staff wearing the Alpha. Available in short order over the American Independence Day holiday, Outlier’s 60/30 chino in field green inspires a little outdoor adventure. Of course, you could also bring it to the office. Or, if you are really F’ing bold, roll down a hill and then skip into work. After all, like most Outlier product the 60/30 chino is designed for optimum comfort and dealing with everything from dirt to rain with utmost grace.

He might not have said that per se, but if he’d seen these Post Overalls trousers we’re sure he would’ve renamed the song ‘cinch back chinos’. We’re not sure he would’ve been able to fit into them but it’s not like that stopped him rapping about Rick Owens. (Garbstore)

Whenever I heard the name T.A.D., my mind immediately went back to that “Daisy” single. Not the same as “Triple Aught Design” is all about high quality technical and wear gear. Their chinos go there: “Made in the USA of 100% sanded cotton twill, the pant has a streamlined silhouette without excess bulk or drag. TAD staples include D-rings on the front belt loops so you can dummycord a pocket knife, small flashlight or keys and conceal them discretely in the front welt pockets.” Quality.

Who says skinny is over? Screw that. These solid chinos from Velour in grey will work well all summer. No need for the pastels. Stick with the neutrals. Then again, it is a heavyweight twill… maybe too warm for the real heat of August. Great-Divide has them.

Folk band Herman Dune work over the Dad Chinos from April77 in two new colorways in celebration of the release of their LP, “Strange Moosic.” The chinos come in either sun safari or brick red. A few features made them unique including the guitar pick pocket on the hip. A matching t-shirt celebrating the release is also available.
