While we’re aware of the Christophe Lemaire the designer, we’re not accustomed to Christophe Lemaire the interviewee, put it like this – he doesn’t hold back on his opinions. During his interview with the Cut he talks about his dislike for Purple magazine, leaving Lacoste (the place he’d revived since he joined in 2000) and his dislike of the fashion cycle.

‘I really hate this idea that you have to change your wardrobe every six months – that’s bullshit. At the end of the day, you have to find your own style vocabulary.’

Yep, we’re still into pleats. So, if you’re offended by pleats or don’t want to read please look away now. Still here? good. It’s nigh on impossible to describe a pair of chinos without using the words ‘with a twist’ so we’ll just say that we think they’re a good looking pair of chinos; a perfect alternative to the usual chinos you probably have by now.
