Australia’s Chronicles of Never (or for those on the dark side, Chrønicles øf Never) has recently collaborated with the Harrolds on a capsule collection of denim and shirting that uses some great textiles including Italian jersey and Japanese denim. The two special washes on the denim were created by Chrønicles øf Never’s with the help of Harrold’s creative director,  Chris Kyvetos and compliment the collection which always carries a positive exaggerated fit on the garments. I’m feeling all Sunn O))) after checking that title. Bascially some black shoes with some extra special flair. They’re handmade and “finished” in Australia – far from the doom of the West Coast. “Black leather slip on shoe with pieced vamp and elasticated side gusset for ease of entry. leather lined and leather sole. 1/2″ heel.” Oak has them.

A solid grey always works – as does white and black. This duffle from the Chronicles of Never Autumn 2010’s “Black Noise White Rain” collection falls within these margins. “Single compartment bag with one zip line that details a ball toggle on zip. Made from cotton, this piece should be hand washed cool.” Oki-ni has them.

While a beard and long hair is seemingly all it takes this season to make it as a model, there’s some brands who want a little more from their models. Apparently, Chronicles of Never wanted a little too much as they ending up cutting out the middleman altogether – as you can see from the above pictures. They describe this collection as a ‘departure from the dark’, something that’s has clouded over (pun intended) Chronicles since its inception.

We covered one frame from this collection a while back, but here’s a look at some more options from Chronicles of Never Eyewear. “These shades done in collaboration with Graz Mulcahy (another former Ksubi alum and now with his own label Graz eyewear) are offered in a few select colors of two models, each with limited availablity: Corpus Callosum and the Choroid Plexus. They have a long name, a straight cut and look great. The Chronicle of Never “Black Gradient Corpus Callosum Sunglasses” are fitted with gradient lenses and a flat top square shape. You’ll look pretty mean in these but please, smile every once in a while and don’t scare the kids. Available now from Oak for 288$US.

Chronicles of Never, created by former Ksubi founder Gareth Moody in 2005, has always been known for their androgynous clothing but now their shoes seem to be coming into their own, if this SS09 collection is anything to go by. They manage to fit in a pair of navy suede chukka boots, but the main focus is on slightly worn looking silver shoes, which come in many varieties.
