Vitra is reviving George Nelson’s Turbine clock. Powered by a single battery the clock was first released in 1957. Nelson was one of the founding forces in American Modernism. He was born in Hartford, CT, and spent the majority of his career working as design director for Herman Miller. (via Retro to Go).

George Nelson Clocks by VitraWe here at Selectism are huge Vitra fans. Should you ever make it to central Europe, you have to visit their offices and museum, it’s an unbelievable campus, really inspiring.

The latest interesting product release by the brand that we came across, are a series of George Nelson clocks. George Nelson was one of the founders of American modernism along with Charles and Ray Eames (which probably designed the nicest chairs to ever surface this planet!).
