Jack Spade Coca-Cola 125th Birthday Collaboration

06 October 2011, 18.00 | Posted in Accessories | 1 comment »

Coca Cola x Jack Spade

Coca Cola follows up their  125th Anniversary presentation book Jack Spade Coca Cola 125th Birthday Collaboration with a capsule collection with New York’s Jack Spade. The collection features caps, t-shirts, coal bags, iPhone cases, and posters from Colby Poster Printing features some of the Coca-Cola’s famous taglines: “It’s The Real Thing”, “I’d Like To Buy The World A Coke” and 1989’s “You Can’t Beat The Feeling.”

The items are limited though: the prints are limited to 300 units while the caps are set to 150. Other items should be plentiful though. Cuan Hanly, VP/GM of Jack Spade had these thoughts on the collection: “Given both Jack Spade’s and Coca-Cola’s heritage in design, pop culture and whimsy, we feel the Jack Spade and Coca-Cola products truly represent this. After all, it’s the real thing…”

daft punk coca cola bottles box set 0 Daft Coke: Daft Punk, Coca Cola Bottle and Box Set

For this writer, a fascination and fanboy level love for Daft punk began with this one track that was played inside a video game more than a decade ago. Today, the duo stay in the black under the cover of helmets and lights.

But today, their brand extension passes into a new level with the launch of their box set with Coca Cola. As Snob mentions, “The classic Coke glass bottle comes with gold and silver Coca-Cola logo application and matching Daft Punk bottle crown sitting on top. The silver one is actually 925 silver and the gold one features 18k yellow gold. Hand finished the bottles are sitting in a box designed by Daft Punk. The bottles were of course inspired by the helmets of the electronic duo. The signed box set is limited to only 20 sets worldwide.”

cocacola sign 1954 The Making of a 1954 Coca Cola Neon Sign

Creative Review passes over this excellent reference article, this Friday, on the making of a 1954 Coca-Cola neon sign. A great one for fans of the details. “In the new issue of CR, I talk to Coca-Cola archivist, Ted Ryan, about the history of the brand’s 125 year-old identity, explored in a new show at the Design Museum. One of the highlights of the display is a book documenting the design and build of their first neon sign for Piccadilly Circus, in 1954…”

Roberto Cavalli Coca Cola Light Bottles

highsnobiety - Roberto Cavalli Coca Cola Light Bottles

Usually we would not report about Italian designer Roberto Cavalli. His mens collections are not really our style. Nevertheless we have to give it to him for designing some pretty sexy Coca-Cola Light bottles for the Italian market.

"For Fall 2008, the chic’est bevvy on the block will undoubtedly be Coke Light in bottles designed by Cavalli. The limited run of 300,000 bottles will be distributed exclusively in Italy from September through December. "I had a lot of fun creating three different "dresses" for the legendary silhouette of the Coca Cola Light Contour. They are seductive and feminine, in typical Cavalli style. They’re designed for the world of young people, which has always been a great inspiration to me," notes the designer." Via Fashiontribes.

Something for Cavalli fans and collectors. Keep your eyes open on your next Italy trip.
