Colette-Bunney-Lock-05
We don’t usually get too involved in what might be described at ‘romantic goods’ but valentine’s day is on its way and this one was just too good to pass up. A collaboration between Colette and Bunney, a padlock representing love and warm feelings. Inspired by the Parisian tradition of lovers attaching locks with handwritten messages to bridges across the city, Bunney has created a sterling silver ‘Old English’ lock with the phrase ‘Je t’aime’ engraved on the back.
Handmade in the UK and featuring the Diamond Jubilee hallmark, find your token of devotion here.

Vipp bin 01 Vipp Trashcan by Kevin Lyons for Colette

Kevin Lyons made a bin with Colette. Oh yeah. Vipp lend their iconic pedal-bin to the pen of Mr Lyons who duly covers it in not so scary blue monsters. He describes it as only he knows how: ”I love to imagine my little blue monsters running wild through Colette each night. Dancing, playing really loud music, snacking at the water Bar, reading fashion magazines. They yell and giggle in French and eat baguettes and party all night long.”

Baxter of California for colette ‘Cruel Summer’ Candle

Baxter of California for colette ‘Cruel Summer’ Candle

Highsnob loves the smell of candles. They profile the Baxter of California for Colette “We Love California” candle. “The new scented-soy-wax-candle aptly named “Cruel Summer” was inspired by the scent and ambience of California. Cruel Summer opens with a very powerful green, leafy top note accented with a citrus lemon undertone. The body of this complex blend is a floral, green bouquet starring brilliant hyacinth, tempered with notes of cyclamen, and accented with a fresh marine accord. These rest on an alluring white musk base, embellished with cedar wood.”

Selectism - Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Memovox International Colette Watch

Colette seems to work with the very best. Their latest collaborative effort with Jaeger-LeCoultre looks to be a massive one with an extreme limited unit count of three! “I do so very much appreciate that very special wristwatches often find their way in to the display cases at Colette.   Most recently it seems that Jaeger-LeCoultre has created a special Master Memovox International for the Parisian concept store.  It is part of a project by Thomas Erber and is named Cabinet de curiosité — a random collection of fine oddities.   Special about this watch vs. its “standard” brother is the light blue “Colette” notation on the dial and the matching accented stitching on the strap.” (perpetuelle)
