Freitag’s unisex Reference collection for Autumn/Winter 2011 touches on shades of grey, beige and a Maine-inspired maple-leaf red. It is a basics collection for the brand that touches on day-to-day usability with colors that remain much more subtle their their usual upcycled tarp offering. The “Billy Reid at J. Crew” capsule collection is now available online. It’s a small offering with solid pieces for any wardrobe. The Blythewood trousers and jackets will appeal to some but the shirting and cardigans are where we like it. The Beaudreaux linen shirts take a bit of the workwear feel and refine it a bit. Our favorite Australian motorcycle guys, Deus, have released their Autumn 2010 line. It’s cool, casual, Saturday afternoon in the garage gear… and, that’s a vibe we can totally buy into. The collection includes a mix of crews (like the above logo sweat) and hooded pieces. A solid balance of simply branded and printed material is also struck.
