I think it’s safe to say that we’re official members of the Damir Doma outerwear appreciation society (DDOAS for short). And, as members of the DDOAS we feel obliged to point this jacket, which just fell in stores now. We’re still uncomfortable with saying dropped, so we’re gonna say fell instead. Speaking of things we’re fans of, here’s a look at this Damir Doma jacket. While we probably wouldn’t wear Damir Doma in the way it’s worn on the catwalk, we do like pieces like this bomber jacket. On it’s own, it’s pretty much fancy streetwear – and we mean that as a compliment. (The Corner)

A look at the forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2011 collection from Damir Doma.

“For SS11, Damir Doma releases the film ‘Exercise’ on THECORNER.COM together with a limited-edition menswear capsule. In ‘Exercise,’ the new geometry & structure of Mr. Doma’s silhouette is ignited in fiery saffron tones, echoing the Eastern religious costume of bhagwa.  The tainted hero struggles in a harsh industrial void, as sands sift through his palms to join an inky blackness below.”

Dazed gives space for the Damir Doma Spring 2011 offering and a concept video work with Malcome Pate and DJ Hell. “In the midst of Berlin Fashion Week, Damir Doma found time time to present his second line, Silent. It’s not a diffusion line per se; no jeans or watered down catwalk pieces were on display in his Mitte showroom…Keeping elements of his fundamental aesthetics while adding fabrics and cuts that will appeal to most, Doma has created an accessible clothing line with its strong integrity intact… Doma threw a rooftop party and showed ‘Ghosts in Architecture’, his unique film collaboration with image-maker Malcolm Pate and legendary music producer DJ Hell.”

We first mentioned the Silent Sneaker line from Damir Doma back in December but it looks as though Oki-ni has finally taken stock of them for your purchasing pleasure. The first collection offers low and mid-tops in a couple of colors but we’re pretty sure those looking for a pair of basketball trainers that reflect the turn of the century style will find peace with these.
