Each one features a gate-fold focusing on the cover star’s top 20 up and comers, the present meets the future. Dazed & Confused 20th Anniversary Exhibit T-Shirts at Colette

Dazed & Confused celebrates their 20th year with a “Cover Versions” exhibition at Colette in Paris. The exhibition features 20 of their most influential covers re-interpreted by a host of artists including: Marnie Weber, Aaron Rose, Hiro Sugiyama, Neal Fox, Tracey Emin, Dennis Rudolph, Terence Koh, Jonathan Meese, Mark Titchner, Julie Cockburn, George Young, Ben Sansbury, and Jose Parla.

A special run of limited edition t-shirts produced in conjunction with GAP are also available for sale.

Dazed & Confused Magazine 20th Anniversary Cover by Riccardo Tisci

Givenchy’s creative director, Riccardo Tisci, guest directed  the cover shot for the special October 2011 20th anniversary issue of the great Dazed & Confused magazine. As stated in the announcement, “Many of the models discovered and championed by Tisci present personally chosen pieces from his six-year reign at Givenchy.” Former Dazed fashion director, Katy England, and photographer, Matthew Stone also worked the affair.  On sale this Thursday, September 15

Dazed & Confused Magazine "Age of Craziness" Ai Weiwei Cover

Dazed’s June issue is a special issue focused on global activism. Ai Weiwei gets the cover which helps continue to keep focus on his detainment by the Chinese government. Much more is covered in the “Global Activism Special” issue: “The magazine also spends a few days with the underground resistance fighters of Burma’s brutal dictatorship, hears street artist JR’s account of his art revolution in Tunisia, and profiles some of the Middle East’s young activists fighting for a new tomorrow.”

Dazed & Confused Magazine "Daft Punk" 3D Cover

Love the Daft Punk in the bow ties and knits.. “Dazed’s December issue presents a world exclusive feature and 3D cover shoot with robot dance titans Daft Punk. For two years, the French duo have been working on composing a soundtrack for Tron: Legacy – a high-tech 3D adventure set in a digital world, and sequel to the pioneering 1982 film Tron. Dazed & Confused editor Rod Stanley visited them at their studio base in LA for their only interview about this project, and was the first to hear their new music.”

Our brothers in London, Dazed, published an interview with designer, Mihara Yasuhiro on the topic of merging sport and fashion. “For his quietly sensational S/S 09 miharayasuhiro show,  took a leaf from the great German Modernist artist/ activist, Joseph Beuys, going as far as recasting his signature look of hat, fishing jacket and jeans in a modern way…” The interview goes on discussing the importance of Japanese roots and collaborations with jewelry maker, Husam El Odeh.

Selectism - Dazed Japan Fashion+Music with Slimane

No one expected the successful Hedi Slimane and Dazed Japan party held in Tokyo back in July to be the end of the road for these two. Their back together, in print, for the November special issue of Dazed Japan entitled "Music+Fashion." Expect it on newsstands through Asia on Oct 12th and at finer importers worldwide. (via frillr)
