Selectism - denim-demon-spring-2012-02

Denim Demon are best suited to cold weather, so it’s no surprise that their spring collection is focused on lightweight knitwear instead of surf gear. Considering most spring collections fall into stores in January, it’s also a pretty smart move. See more of the collection after the leap.

selectism - New Schnapps from Denim Demon

This week in Paris, Stockholm’s Denim Demon does more than reveal their Spring 2012 collection… they release a new selection of  specialty Schnapps as well. The names of the flavors flirt with the original names from jeans styles Aajja and Aahka (Grandfather and Grandmother) – Aajjavit is flavored with cumin, fennel and oak barrel aged whiskey and Aahkavit is spiced with cumin and dill. The liquor is a collaborative effort between Denim Demon, Buustamon and Rendez-Vous.

selectism - Denim Demon Jahha Chino

Last week, Denim Demon launched the brand’s first official webstore. With that, we’re able to take a more complete look at the Stockholm-based label’s full collection, which extends beyond denim to include a strong collection of outerwear and sweaters.

For those that like modern work wear cut denim, but are looking for something more appropriate for Summer, the Jahha Chino might be the ticket. The pant is constructed of cone mills fabric with nice details like a talon zippered back pocket and Denim Demon’s signature horn button fastening the other rear pocket.

Full details after the jump.

selectism - Denim Demon Tjongkoe Jacket

Denim Demon bursts into Scandanavian Spring with a few new jackets. The highlight is the Tjongkoe, a simple nylon affair with nice color blocking and sound details.

The addition of a hood makes it a superb piece for battling May showers.

More looks after the jump.

Denim Demon ‘Skuvie’ Sweatshirt

Selectism - denim-demon-sweatshirt-01

How many sweatshirts does one man need? That’s the question we ask ourselves, and the answers usually ‘as many as humanly possible’. We like this one because of the chambray chest pocket and the side pocket, making it useful for those days when you’re travelling light. (C Store)

selectism - Denim Demon Autumn/Winter 2011

More Autumn/Winter previews for you today.

Sweden’s Denim Demon continues to push Sami inspired workwear with an ever expanding line of denim, shirts, and sweaters. For 2011 they’ve brought in Swedish hip-hop legend Petter (we’ve been fans since the late 90s) as the face of Denim Demon and sourced from Cone Mills. The lookbook was shot by Jens Andersson.

Check out all the Denim Demon Autumn/Winter 2011 looks after the leap.

selectism - Denim Demon Aquavit

Producing quality jeans and associated garments isn’t enough for the guys at Denim Demon. They had to have their own drink too. Denim Demon Aquavit, their own Schnapps, is crafted in collaboration with Buustamon – which is not only Sweden’s smallest, legal mountain distillery, but also a charming 26-bed hotel.

72 Bottles of both large and small sizes are available.

Kangol for Denim Demon Ski Cap

selectism - Kangol for Denim Demon Ski Cap

On a collaborative outdoors kick today.

Denim Demon has teamed with Kangol to produce two color variations of a classic ski cap. The inspirations are two fold. First, in color scheme and iconography, the Denim Demon boys look north to the Sami culture (which drives so much of their design). Second, the guys remember Swedish skiing legend Ingemar Stenmark. Known for the height of his ski cap, Stenmark has raced to more victories than any other slalom and giant slalom in history – including two golds at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics.

These caps release in December. 130 pieces per color.

More images follow.

Denim Demon Bahha

selectism - Denim Demon Bahha

When not modeling for Kangol, the duo behind Denim Demon still make time to design new garments and progress their Scandanavian tinged take on workwear. Their latest cut is the Bahha, described by Oskar Sommarlund as “A comfort fit with tapered legs, embossed reindeer antlers in the top button, hidden arcuate stitching on the back pockets and south sami felt logo.” The fabric is a 13oz Japanese Kurabo denim.

Full looks at the fit after the jump.

Denim Demon Guadta Tote Bag

Selectism - denim-demon-tote-bag-01

Despite our love of the backpack, we still like our totes. This one’s (obviously) made of denim, meaning that we’d avoid wearing it with denim, lest you look like the sort of guy who spends days cooking up outfits like a crazed scientist. As you’d expect from the (relative) bargain hunters here at SL, it’s on sale at 79 euros. (C Store)

Song remains the same, tale a leap to see those shots.
