Eat Dust Clothing Heavy Duty Workwear

Eat Dust, a new motorcyle-inspired denim line from Europe, delivers its new jackets. The jackets are made of “13.25 oz double ring Japanese indigo blue selvage denim.” The jacket has “two reinforced hip pockets with signature Z-bar stitch.” Both the jacket and the vest are great additions to their collection. The brand also offers two styles of jeans from the same denim. A great collection for true motorcycle enthusiasts. (gb)

Selectism - wood-wood-smoke-jeans-01

As odd as this sounds, we’ve actually been on the lookout for some olive jeans lately (don’t judge us, this is what happens when you spend most of your time looking at clothes). This Wood Wood pair look like they’ll do the job and it’ll do all the usual livening of the wardrobe, etc, etc. (Wood Wood)

Han 50’s Classic Tapped Denim

Selectism - han-50s-denim-01

You know what? We’re just gonna come right out and say it: we want to cheat with our denim. We know wearing them in yourself is the ‘right’ thing to do but it takes ages. And, like Jay-Z, we’re not patient and we hate waiting. These Han jeans are a great cheating tool for anyone who wants to skip a couple of style steps. (C Store)

sponsored rawdenim gap selectism Sponsored | Keeping it Raw

It is not an easy period to be a denim junkie. Those who seek the exclusivity of the raw selvedge craze soon discover that breaking in a pair of jeans is a job in itself. As fun as it may seen to break in your blue jeans from a raw state, it is a bit commitment. As the term selvedge becomes the common buzzword amongst the mass consumers of the U.S.A., many will soon realize that wash is more important for them. For those, the options remains. Denim will continue to be the most important staple item in your wardrobe, and it does not look like it will stop soon.

Rugby Vintage Slim Denim with Necktie

Selectism - Rugby "Limited Edition" Vintage Slim Denim with Necktie

A nice little parcel arrived this afternoon at our office in Boston. The folks at Rugby sent over this package containing a limited edition pair of U.S.A. made selvedge slim denim with matching a (Italian made) necktie. The denim is produced domestically at “Cone Denim’s White Oak Plant, one of the oldest denim mills in the United States.” 100 pairs of the denim were produced and “rendered in ultra-dark indigo-wash.”  The necktie comes in a mid width silk finish with a proper skull hit (the same hit is found on the matching patch on the denim. They toss in a “Rule of  the Game” stylebook to remind us of how gents should be. Well done overall.

selectism - First Look | RGT by Rogue Territory S/S 2011

An extension of Rogue Territory, RGT  goes beyond denim offering a full collection of tops and bottoms, outerwear and accessories.  The line has modern fit and style, with the light touch of vintage Americana and military influence now expected from designer Karl Thoennessen.

The first fabric Thoennessn chose to work with for RGT is a deadstock 1950s German Paramilitary Raindrop Cammo. The fabric finds life throughout the line as pocket lining, shirts, pants, shorts and hidden patch pockets.

In all, the line includes three models of trouser (two also coming in short form); two jean fits (skinny and straight) coming in Dark Indigo selvage, Natural selvage, Grey  selvage; and a range of triple needle stitched tops made from canvas, chambray, gingham, and oxford cloth.

All rivets and buttons are custom. All set for release in Spring of 2011.
