APC Derby Shoes

Selectism - apc-derby-shoes-01

If you’re tiring of tan, burgundy is always a good alternative. It’s different – but not so different that you’ll have to spent half a day sorting out different outfit combos to go with it. Just a quarter should be enough. These APC derbies have red brick sole that everyone (including us) is a little in love with right now. And, seeing as it’s leather, a little random rain shouldn’t bother you. (Context)

Heutchy Brown Derby Shoes

Selectism - heutchy-derby-shoes-01

Brogues tend to get most of the blog love, but we might just prefer a derby. While brogues always have a sense of work about them – we can’t bring ourselves to wear them on weekends – derbies have a versatility that means they can truly be dressed up or down. Take these Heutchy numbers for instance. A handsome derby, the fact that there’s no brogue-ing accentuates the pretty shade of honey brown the shoe comes in. If more derbies like this come out, they might just have to be the official shoe of choice here at SL towers. (Oak)

Get a gander at those detailed shots after the leap.

Rachel Comey Painters Derby Shoe

29 September 2009, 13.30 | Posted in Shoes | 1 comment »

selectism - rachel-comey-derby-shoe-01Here’s one for the summer lovers. Comey seems to have cracked the secret to great summer shoes -  make them light and make them linen. Putting them on sale in a variety of sizes doesn’t hurt either. These won’t be any good when winter hits, but as the old saying goes, make hay (and wear linen shoes) while the sun shines. (Assembly)

Grenson Distressed Derbies

grenson distressed oxfords Grenson Distressed Derbies

Grenson have been making moves for a while now, re-establishing their place as a quality footwear brand at a  relatively affordable price. We’re quite the fans of these distressed leather chocolate derbies, although we hope this is as far as they go with the ‘trendy’ designs. The brogue detailing is nice, but it almost over-complicates the shoe. Sometimes simpler is better. Get these from Matches.

New A.P.C. Products

APC

Our favorite French brand A.P.C. has released some new products in their online store. The drop consisted of the “Double Centimeter” bracelet. It looks like a measuring band and comes on premium leather in three colorways. The other release was the “Derbies”, a really nice and classic suit shoe in black. Something that you just cannot go wrong with.

After the jump you can check out more detailed pictures of both products!
