“Japanese artisti Shinobu Koizumi designed “Light in a Drawer,” inspired by fairy tales with hidden treasures and dreamy illuminations.

Each drawer is made of frosted acrylic with a wooden front facade, and the lights are installed at the back of the drawers. The plastic construction means the light can be seen peeking from around the sides of each box, even if the drawer is shut. Further playing into the whimsical ideas of surrounding light, the handles are composed of the bases of electric light bulbs.”

“24-year-old Polish designer Stanisław Płoski defied the law of usual bike physics with the Bonobo Plywood Bike, which is crafted from plywood and proves to be more flexible than a typical bike. Płoski’s model uses bent plywood to form the frame, leaves out the seat-tube, and the the chain, grips and pedal are color-matched a light hue of green.”

Take this table for instance, it’s not like we’re ever looked at a table and thought ‘hmmm, lets put some marbles on this table’. Love it or hate it, we can’t deny a purdy looking coffeemaker. And this Chemex maker is undeniably good looking. Even a hardened coffee hater such as this writer would consider a cup or 8 to justify this purchase. And then he’d regret it, but at least the kitchen would look nice. It’s the small victories. Paperclips back! That’s what Nendo are saying after their latest release, which allows you to keep data and your papers in the same place. Not to get all poor man’s Louis CK on you but we remember using floppy disks to store all our data and now we’re keeping it on paper clips.
