VISA Black Card

visa black card VISA Black Card

VISA is turning on the heat in the ever aggressive credit card scene. Their latest offering is the $495 VISA Black Card, which looks to compete against the super cards offered by other various outlets such as the  invite only “Centurion Card.” Like the latter, the VISA Black card offers 24hour full service concierge level perks, priority access at airports, hotels and more. Top it off with a special “carbon graphite” black card, and you are already well beyond the normal VISA user. (via aquire)

Gentleman’s Gadgets profiles the latest frill sport offering from Porsche Design.

“As soon as the first snow falls, as immediately the snow slopes get rushed by several premium labels. … the silver design-sled by Porsche may now also pull the most style conscious person to have fun on a simple way. The noble aluminum sportster offers also functionality, thanks to its practical folding mechanism, and it is prepared for even the heaviest holiday dinner with a maximum capacity of 100kg.”

That’s about 220lbs, people. Sled on.

The heat will hopefully not deter my plans to ride the icy hills of New England this coming week. New England mountains are very much a rite of passage. If you can ride the ice, you can plow the powder. I snowboard but if I was to ski, I would likely charm the senseless side of myself with the purchase of these fine Dunhill Skis by Speciale. “The Dunhill Skis are available in either teak or carbon fiber finishes with tough titanium bases. Available in two sizes, the $2,100 skis feature Vist bindings, handmade in Italy, which ‘fuse innovation with security.’” They look great and seeing as racing specialists, Speciale had a hand in them, they must ride like champs. Chanel Snowboard

The unstoppable Chanel brings their super high end logo to the world of snow. Check this. “Chanel have released a snowboard as part of this years winter sport collection. The Chanel Snowboard has a high gloss piano black lacquer resin finish with a discrete Chanel monogram by the front binding. The snowboard is made of fiberglass and wood which gives it a degree of flexibility whilst maintaining rigidity at the same time.” As this is being posted, I am more than likely on the mountains not riding this deck. If I see someone rocking it, I’ll be sure to report back. (via Sybarites)

Hulger PAPPA*PHONE

The writers and editors here at TITEL, like most international companies, rely heavily on Skype. We’ve gone through our share of headsets but this gorgeous offering from Hulger in the UK is clearly looking for a fighting chance against my IPEVO handset. Handcrafted by Furni in  Montreal, the PAPPA*PHONE Skype handset is set in a woodgrain finish.

But seeing as Skype is here to save us all on long distance charges, you’ll probably make up the difference with the price tag on the PAPPA*PHONE. It will set you back a handy 313$US.

More views of the Hulger PAPPA*PHONE after the jump.

Klas Ernflo Fabric Footballs / Soccer Balls

Swedish deisgner, Klas Ernflo, clearly knows how to take an “iconic” object and give it a bit of a facelift to make it more ornamental. His use of fabric textiles against the silhouette of a soccer/football turns the staple of sporting goods into a new canvas to attack. Check the tweed lines footballs. They would happy complement the office decor any day. (db via sc)

Better than the dope Margiela V-Man jackets that Pharrell and Mr. Michael Stipe have been rocking, is the homemade Daft Punk helmet from Casey Pugh. With rumors of another wave of Daft Punk shows coming in 2009, we can be sure to expect Daft Helmets replacing the lighter and mobile phones soon. (via kanye – what up!)
