Dior Homme Dermo System line of products “is the first dermatological skincare system designed to preserve the youthful appearance of men’s skin.” The line was created by Hedi Slimane personally with the help of a renown international research center. The Duffle Coat has been a staple item in our fall wardrobe as long as we can think back. As much as we appreciate the all-time classic Gloverall version of it, we sometimes wish for something more fitted and an overall more streamlined silhouette. Dior Homme presents their version of the classic this season – the Stretch Gabardine Duffle Coat. It comes with all the classic attributes and details, just that everything is a bit sleeker.

Using the backdrop of music from Paris’ own Justice, Dior Homme unveiled their Spring and Summer 2009 runway show in Paris. Given a space aged feel and look accentuated by eyewear and a continued focus on the slimline silhouettes that line almost all the runway shows for Spring, 2009, Dior Homme’s output is consistent and expected. Tim Blanks over at men.style does have an opposing position on the collection, "The overwhelming impression was that Van Assche was simply trying too hard. Even the glasses the models wore were overwrought. The solution is obvious: Take a deep breath and relax."

Dior Homme Lumiere du Nord Collection of accessories for fall/winter 2008 and 2009 brings one of the best patent leather looks of the season. Lumiere du Nord consists of 2 patent leather black shoes – one boot and sneaker – as well as four modern mens bags – a messenger, shopper, backpack, and weekender. All products in the Lumiere du Nord collection also featuring black strappings and silver finishes.

With the summer in full swing its time to look to the fall. We start off with the Dior Homme collection for Fall/Winter 2008/2009. The French clothier designer continues to produce fine look with this fall’s focusing on the the expected black tones.

Ever since Dior Homme launched their sneakers we were in love with them. Aside from the obvious supreme quality, colors were simple, shapes were kept simple, but after all this simplicity the line-up was still not boring.

Now the brand adds new styles every season and slightly changes the colors, keeping it just exciting enough. Of course they don’t come cheap, but due to the choice of colors by the brand you are not buying into a seasonal shoe, but a sneaker that you can wear until the very end.

Hedi Slimane has made Dior Homme what it stands for today. Since he left, Kris Van Aasche has taken over and present his first collection soon.

““They look like young professional killers,” quipped Karl Lagerfeld, who shot three models in a Parisian apartment wearing Van Assche’s ballooning, high-waist pants and pristine white shirts.

Van Assche described the images, which break in February magazines, as the “next step” for the brand—rather than a radical change—in its post–Hedi Slimane era. A budding photographer, Slimane lensed recent Dior Homme campaigns and favored an edgy, artsy approach.

“When one evokes ‘elegance,’ people tend to think you refer to something old-fashioned, boring,” Van Assche said. “I am totally aware that we are living in a sportswear generation, but I feel it is my duty—at Dior Homme even more so than at my own label—to propose an alternative. … I prefer to look at it as a challenge: Make elegance radical.””
