The Dr. Martens Weston Boots has a certain restraint to them when compared to other Martens lace ups. The sole is slimmed a bit bringing it closer to the floor, and possibly a little less intimidating. It clearly remains a Dr. Marten boot with its distinct yellow welt, but the polished finished of the leather makes it rather appealing to the masses. Find it at Need Supply.

Woah. I recall seeing these in Barcelona BBB a while back but when OAK dropped them into the a.ok shop, I was stunned again. It’s a bit tough to imagine the Martens 8 eyelet boot in any color other than black or dark cherry red, but I can imagine some distinct men rocking these properly. Finished in all white, they will indeed look much more relaxed once they take on some road wear. They’ll probably even look better than any pre-distressed Martens’ “inspired” boot you can find on the market now. Personally, I am waiting on those Stussy collabs to drop.

The Ace Hotel in NYC knows how to keep its staff proper. Following up further on the uniforms we covered last Friday, we now have a look at the custom 1460 Dr. Martens boot for Ace Hotel employees. The eight eyelet boot has a “subtle” custom leather embossment of a skeleton key on the rise. I should switch jobs.

Raf Simons brings it on Gladiator style with one hell of a collection of sandals for Dr. Martens. You can only expect such design from Raf Simons. Let’s start with the 9 eyelet “Lace Sandal” which is imagined in black and white patent leather. The stitching is finished in Dr. Martens’ red thread for battle wear. The “Buckle” sandal is more toned down with patent and soft leather finish without the dissection of the lace-up. They may not be your choice sandal, but we can guarantee that someone is paying attention to the conceptual design and wearability of these looks.

Dr. Martens have pulled off another high-end designer coup, having secured Raf Simons to produce a spring 2009 line for them (previewed on Selectism back in July of this year). This follows the unveiling of their Yohji Yamamoto collaboration and it’s just another collab for Raf Simons, following his previous work with Eastpak and his ongoing Fred Perry collaborations. The line will hit stores in January. (via WWD)

The latest collaborative work between Dr. Martens and Yohji Yamamoto’s Y’s label for Autumn/Winter 2008 is now available. Featuring two colorways – black and royal blue – against their classic 10-eyelet boot, and Calf High Biker Boot, both Yohji boots include hidden side zippers,the iconic yellow Dr. Martens stitching and translucent sole as well as the Y’s brand signature.

Dr. Martens take a fresh look at two of their models with their "Made in Monochrome" series for Fall/Winter 2008/09. Feature two shoes from the 1460 series – an 8 eyelet boot and a 3 eyelet shoe – the "Made in Monochrome" series striped the silhouettes down to their bare essentials and provide very clean and wearable looks. The all white 1460 8 eyelet is just damn good. Avaiable in two weeks from oki-ni.

A new interesting look from UK’s Dr. Martens coming soon. This seven eyelet boot sits flat with now heel and looks like an instant classic. Great stitch lines as well as a wide open top make this Dr. Martens boot a gem. Thanks to Mare123 for the images.
