Drakes Cotton Pyjamas

Selectism - drakes-pyjamas-01

Want to be a baller? Shot caller? Brawler? The kind of man who wears Drakes Pyjamas? Of course you do. Which is why we’re recommending this. At £250, it’s not cheap by any means of the word, but you should factor in how often you wear – which should be every night considering how much you paid for it – and do some calculations about how much it’ll cost per wear. That method is commonly known as the ‘justification for an expensive purchase that may not stand up to any scrutiny’. (Drakes)

Drakes Fisherman Knit Jumper

Selectism - drakes-fisherman-sweater-01

Yeah, that’s right, jumper not sweater – we’re not the linguistical sellouts that drakes are. For a company that prides itself on British manufacturing they’re decidedly less proud of our tradition of calling things by their proper name. Rant aside, this is a nice jumper and, at £150, fairly affordable. Honestly, it’s a little too good to give as a gift, get it for yourself. (Drakes)

Got money? great, you can read on. Everyone else might want to turn away now as this scarf pulls off that annoying trick of being desirable and near unaffordable. While $275 isn’t that much for a coat, it’s asking a lot for a scarf. But if you’ve got the budget this is worth getting the trigger finger out for. (CHCM)

It’s also 100% cashmere, which gives it a much more luxurious feel than other wool based scarves. Get it from Oki-Ni.

Selectism - Drakes Scarves for Monocle Magazine

Our friends at Cool Hunting preview the latest collaborative effort from Monocle Magazine. After having worked with Porter on a bag collection, they are now working with Drakes London on some very well done scarfs. “For the newest edition to the Monocle Shop of luxurious goods, the magazine that covers international affairs, global business, culture and design teamed up with Drakes London to create a new line of merino wool scarves. Though most know Drakes for their bespoke ties, their elegantly woven scarves don’t get enough attention.”
