Selectism - The Dry Bones Desert Boots

After seeing these first hand in Tokyo, I was sold. Self Edge has stock of one of my favorites boots, The Dry Bones Desert Boot. “From the Setagaya ward of Tokyo, Dry Bones is one of the longest running denim and vintage style garment companies from Japan. With over twenty years of experience these guys have continually been on the pulse of what products to produce and doing it far before it hitting the mainstream.”  Suede leather in brown or grey.

Selectism - Twitter Giveaway | Dry Bones D.Lewis Chambray Shirt

More goods for you guys… Self Edge, those purveyors of all things Japanese, want to gift one lucky winner with a Dry Bones D.Lewis Chambray Shirt.  Dont worry, 36 is not the only size available. Check out the history on this shirt.

This chambray shirt is designed by D.Lewis & Dry Bones. D.Lewis is Britan’s oldest motorcycle clothing brand. Started in 1891 they were producing multi-purpose motorcycle gear and by 1920 were making leather jackets for motorcycle and military flight use. D.Lewis went on to be one of the world’s top original workwear and motorcycle gear companies and became legendary in the rock scene when the Sex Pistols, the Clash, Ramones and Iggy, even John Lennon & Paul McCartney were owners of vintage pieces of D.Lewis clothing. Today D.Lewis only has two lines outside of it’s own, one produced by Comme des Garcons and one by Dry Bones.

As always, it’s pretty easy to enter and win.

Follow Selectism on Twitter and tweet the following message: Follow @selectism and RT this message by Dec 22 for a chance to win a Dry Bones D.Lewis Chambray Shirt http://bit.ly/8iYIL0

We’ll randomly choose a retweet as the winner on Dec 22nd.

OPEN GIVEAWAYS: Do not forget to enter yesterday’s Comme Des Garcons Peacoat giveaway which ends on December 21.

Good luck to all.

Tokyo | Dry Bones Two Tone Desert Boots

Selectism - Tokyo | Dry Bones Two Tone Desert Boots

There was no shortage in diverse boots being worn by the masses at the Inzauma Festival this past weekend in Tokyo. I did note a few favorites – one of them featured a suede upper in a gorgeous camel color. Unfortunately, I did not get the opportunity to track down the maker’s name, but I did come close to a grand alternative from Dry Bones. Their “2tone desert boot” looks great with a dark brown upper. While I’m at it, I’ll say that the grey two-tone works just as well with both sitting atop crepe soles. Something different from Dry Bones which should make landfall in the USA very shortly.

Dry Bones Natural Indigo Dyed Pin Stripe Shirt

Selectism - Dry Bones Natural Indigo Dyed Pin Stripe Shirt

Selfedge of San Fran has worked with Japan’s Dry Bones on a very respectable pin striped shirt for the coming Fall season. "With a flap chest pocket, a vintage workwear style button enclosure, and triple stitched throughout this shirt is exactly what we wanted in a classic style shirt but in a dark natural indigo woven fabric.

The shirt appears quite dark when new, but will lighten after a few washes and fade over time just like indigo denim."
