A few looks from The Duffer of St George for Spring/Summer 2012. The more affordable end of sports influenced casual, the usual suspects are all present with Duffer taking British and American classics (just as they’ve always done) adding a slimmer cut to bring them up to date. Expect varsity style jackets, bright rugby shirts, lightweight parkas and P.E friendly sweats.

A couple of wallet friendly shirt options from Duffer. The meadows shirt to our left; A light hickory fabric with a button down collar and single breast pocket, the smarter option of the two with a little less of that workwear feel. On the right, The Yarrow, chambray with two breast pockets, one little one big, with contrast white stitching and more casual feel. Two nice shirts. Simple. Find them at Duffer.

The guys at Duffer give us their version of the ever popular quilted jacket. We can see why this outerwear classic just refuses to fade, if you’ve ever worn one you’ll know it manages the balance between keeping you warm when cold and cool when a little too warm. Coming in black or navy, we like the neck strap detail on this one and huge pockets, allowing you to carry a copy of War and Peace or the VHS version of Terminator 2. The Duffer of St George have dipped their toe into the ‘premium’ denim market. The demand for a good, solid pair of selvedge jeans continues to rise, as do prices for some of the big names in the market. Duffer however have chosen to keep theirs affordable. 5 pocket, straight leg, redline jeans without the troublesome hefty price tag. We’re interested.

Highsnob featured this Peanuts inspired Snoop watch from Duffer of St. George in a military fashion. Nato/mil-strap in black/red or navy/red striping surrounds the black shell case. Snoopy in all his high-flying-ness is right there on the dial and hands.

It’s currently new campaign galore on these streets. Duffer throw their hat into the ring with this ‘high summer’ campaign. High summer’s one of those ridiculous terms that fashion tends to use, we rank it just below ‘colour blocking’ in terms of silliness. With photography from Neil Bedford and styling by Stephen Mann, they’ve got several of London’s luminaries from the acting and music scenes to showcase the brand in all its glory. Whereas can you see Goldie and the genius who brought you Anuvahood in one place? Nowhere, that’s where. Now take a leap to see more.

Duffer’s new spring range of trainers just fell into their usual stockists and here’s our pick of the bunch. It’s a simple, clean, minimal, nice, bang on trend, all round good egg of a trainer. And that’s all we ask for in our footwear.

The Duffer of St George offers the Fifth Gear jacket, a classic nylon windbreaker style jacket, to help combat April showers. Mesh lined throughout, the jacket features two open front pockets and two concealed zipped pockets on the chest, a full zip fastening with a branded press stud storm flap and ribbed cuffs. Subtle branding is also a bonus.

The Shuttle Crew is a cotton mix sweat featuring tonal top stitching throughout, a contrast ribbed neck, cuff and hem, a woven brand logo on the chest and ribbed v-neck detailing. As with all current Duffer product, affordability is also part of the parcel. The sweatshirt runs less than 40 quid.

Duffer continue their run of interesting products with this baseball sweat. Still designed by the same team who made Duffer into the label it was (read up on their history here) pieces like this remind you why you liked Duffer in the first place. If we had to nitpick, we’d say that the logo is approaching Rugby levels of sheer huge-ness, but aside from that we have no other nits to pick. Get it from Duffer’s webstore.
