Like we always say, it’s the details that count. From a distance, this is just a regular old short sleeved shirt. But on further inspection the spread collar (usually used on more formal shirts) give this shirt an interesting twist. As part of our ongoing efforts to provide you with pieces you can’t hold of, we’ve decided to show you this trench coat from Edifice Materiaux. As you may have guessed from the name, Edifice Materiaux is an offshoot of Selectism favourite Edifice and judging from this piece, they’ll soon be regulars on here as well. Three excellent colorways from Edifice for their suede upper trainers or shoes depending on how you see it. Truth be told, the rubber “athletic” sole is what sells them as a trainer, but the upper is so well finished that you may be able to sneak them in with your blazer. The worn-in denim jacket is a piece that’s growing in popularity all the time. Denim has long been predicted by every magazine and their dog as the main trend for this spring/summer so it’s not surprising that there is such a large amount of denim options out there right now. As usual, we’re fans of the styling in the picture and think it’s a look that could be easily achieved even if you don’t have the means of getting this specific jacket. We’re sure everyone’s tired of us featuring Edifice pieces no one can buy. That’s why this time we’ve decided to feature some Edifice that’s actually available for people outside of Japan. Normal double breasted jackets have been kind of overdone the last couple of years, but when they’re done like this we can get behind it. Jersey has one of the catwalk trends, with designers like Band of Outsiders showing people how the right cut could make jersey as wearable as denim. Chunky knitwear has been big for a minute now, so pieces like this jersey jacket were the next logical step in the knitwear evolution process. Edifice continue their stellar collaborations, this time joining up with Schott for these denim biker jackets. We’ve seen a huge number of denim jackets over the last few seasons, but this is the first time we’ve seen denim used in this manner and to this effect. Like most Edifice collabs, it’ll also only be available in Japan so you’ll need a proxy to get your hands on this.

Polka dot shirts are one of those items that can look better if the dots are understated. Take this Edifice polka dot for example. In the styling shot you can’t even see the dots, although they are clearly visible on the closer pictures. If you’re a little bored of checked patterns, this will be the shirt for you.
