Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto have been commissioned by Honda to work over the the interior of the new ‘Honda CR-Z Intersection’ coupé. A custom print with using Honda’s “eco-flower” symbol is used for the upholstery as well as the tank cover. Intersection Magazine lends a helping hand in the project as well.

Buck have an interesting interview up with Mark Eley, focusing on his Eastpak collaboration. The interview reveals where the famous print came from, the resurgence of backpacks and his blog tips:

“Dinosaurs and robots, highsnobiety… We were possibly one of the first fashion labels to do a blog. I try not to blog too much about work, it just opens us up and we want to motivate people to do nice work. If they can see that we’re down to earth and realistic with what we do, instead of living some glorious avant-garde lifestyle.”

Our man in Geneva discovered these Eley Kishimoto Prototype Ruby Helmets while shopping around. We’re not sure if these Belvedere and Pavilion Helmets from Eley Kishimoto, with encrusted rubies lining the rim of the opening, have made it to market. But we are sure that we’d happily rock these while running through NYC on our Ruckus’.

Eastpak is showcasing a variety of collaborations at Bread and Butter Barcelona. We’ll start by previewing the Spring 2009 Eley Kishimoto collaboration which takes the hounds tooth pattern into a cowlick style swirl across blues, reds, and blacks. A very nice look for the coming spring.
