Engineered Garments Madras Spring/Summer 2012 Jacket

07 February 2012, 14.00 | Posted in Fashion | No comments »

nepenthes blazer 03 Engineered Garments Madras Spring/Summer 2012 Jacket

Engineered Garments hand down more spring and summer goods for our enjoyment. The “Andover” is a continuing style season to season; this version is a lightweight cotton and while it is a smarter piece in cut, it is also the kind of jacket you could roll up and crease out without too many worries. A crumple here and there just suggests you live an exciting life and have neither the time nor inclination to iron.

If plaid is a little too Ivy for your liking there’s also an excellent polka dot version which also receives our seal of approval. More at Nepenthes.

Nepenthes- Post o'alls-01

If you’re after for a little something condiment inspired then look no further then this Colman’s mustard coloured chore coat, a collaboration between Engineered Garments and Post o’alls. A pretty decent pairing, right? Currently gracing the shelves of Nepenthes.

Golden Bear for Engineered Garments Jackets for Autumn 2011

San Francisco’s Golden Bear works two leather numbers for the Engineered Garments collection. The Bedford jacket comes in goat suede or “elite” cowhide. Both look incredibly soft and supple. Is this the first product(s) from Engineered Garments sourced outside of New York City? Nepenthese has them.

Engineered Garments 19th Century BD Shirt

More florals. Engineered Garments delivers this BD shirt with a great print. It comes in the form of a narrow fit workshirt. Made in New York, of course, the construction is a single stitch detail. Works well on almost all.  Oi Polloi carries Engineered Garments.

Mark McNairy and Engineered Garments have gotten together to produce two special slip-on model. For the conservative, there is a pair of elegant scotch grain slip-ons – available in black or brown. Mark McNairy for Engineered Garments Longwings

Selectism - mcnairy-engineered-garments-longwings-01

McNairy? McNasty? McNostradamus? McNasEscobar? Whatever you want to call him, his latest collab with Engineered Garments has just fell into Tres Bien. While we appreciate the wilder shoes at times, we do appreciate a shoe that can be worn in an office environment without raising too many eyebrows. Even the fact that the two shoes are different is a subtle detail you won’t notice until you stare intensely at them. And that’s something you can’t really do in everyday life, so we doubt anyone would notice at all. (Tres Bien)

Engineered Garments Rope Bag

Selectism - engineered-garments-rope-bag-01

We could waffle, we could prattle, we could wear out all the superlatives known to man. Or, we could say our true sentiments and that is, we like bags and this is a bag, so we like it. Simple. (U&I)

Engineered Garments Seersucker Blazer

Selectism - engineered-garments-seersucker-jacket-01

We featured the seersucker trousers a couple of weeks back, so we felt it only natural to feature the jacket. Obviously you can do the seersucker suit thing, but we’d rather do the mix and match thing. You know, sprezzy and all that. You could wear it ivy style, but that’s not fashionable no more, you dig? It’s a shame that ‘timeless’ style lasts two years in the world of fashion style but it is what it is. (The Bureau)
